I never really got a chance to look around this site...I took a break from getaround to look around and I would like to comment you guys on the graphics...Looks VERY nice.  I mean, I don't know Javascript worth shit, but those menus look GREAT.  Well anyway, back to scripting, later guys.

I couldn't help but noticing some stuff. On one of the pages (or more) it said it was generated by Adobe GoLive 5.0.. I thought you used SimpleText for the DAMN site...

Repeat after me:

hehe.... site actually looks wonderful for the most part! ?I just really hate what editors like those do to the code.... everyone say "style sheets are evil" ok, I feel better now.

I actually like BBedit for my stuff.  Or Homesite when I'm forced on the PC's (but only in EDIT mode, never Design....)

Well Wrath the site is still plain text and was created with Simple Text and later BBEdit because Simple Text only allows up to 32kbyte files. The ModSection contains the Adobe GoLive Meta tag because Elandrion tried to regenerate my table code with GoLive and I worked on the same files because it didn't work  and fixed the code.  Well thats the story Wrath hehe!

Mauti ~ You should try DreamWeaver. It has a nice interface, and also a powerful raw HTML editer.

I assumed that's what had happened.. Elandrion tampers with your code.. :)

Wrath has 100 percent right I don't want to use an editor.Well I tried Adobe GoLive but it was somehow to unflexible at the first look and I didn't wanted to learn a new app/buy one! So I stay with Simple Text/BBEdit thats fine  ;)

Lol!! Mauti - if you can make as great as a site as you have (*DAMN) I see no reason to use DreamWeaver. Also, BBEdit is way cheaper, and it gets the job done! Also, why don't you buy www.damnr6.com? The CIA is buying a URL for our site, and Team SiX got a free URL from NameZero. Also, clan Virus has the BEST flash site, and they bought a URL. I think that DAMN, being the r6/rs 'hub' for Mac gamers, should buy a URL, and just link it into the GameSpy servers.

The reason I posted that comment was because Peekay was "sucking up" to you or "kissing your ass" in an attempt to get on your good side.

On a side note, sometimes with both you and Bander I don't understand what you are saying, you english is very good, but ocassionally it doesn't make sense to me.

I don't know what you were saying in your post after mine, but I felt I should clear up what I saud regardless.

In addition, I don't like people who suck up to others. It is different when someone is nice and jolly to everyone, but not when someone is nice to some and not nice to others.

Examples:

Peekay who was an ASS on Gameranger is nice to you so he won't get banned from the forums.

Romulus, who will trash mediocre clans and make it sound like a major achievement when he beats a guy from DAP, will suck up to you and other DAMNS because DAMN is a MUCH better clan that CIA, both in skill and class.

Those reasons plus many others are why I can't stand either of those idiots I named above.

It is practically impossible to make a floating box with hand coding.

Anyway, GoLive lets you make those pretty easily, but the source code is a mile long


This is the same with a lot of other web animation (except JavaScript, because you don't have to write those by hand if you just download them) you need a WYSIWYG editor for it.



Incidentally....I wrote that page by hand with the exception of the animation portion.....

Romulus we got the idea the first time.......you don't have to finish every post with a bunch of slow-to-load animations.......

.......or at least I imagine they are slow to load on 56k people's computers. ?I'm just trying to look out for them ?8)
