*DAMN R6 Forum

is anyone awear of a HIGH SPEED Glitch that can be used in multi player. while playing today my "imposter" was talking of a speed cheat i was like wtf are you talking about he says ill show u. he exits the game come back in and can run (actualy its fast warping) incredably fast. its like he was on a rocket. i saw cybershark doing this once long ago but he said his computer was screwed (lier?) anyway i never had heard/saw this before. it will be a pain in the anus if this gets out... the next blue door gladly only a few people know how to do this (i think  :o) well i dont lol but why would i want to know? its cheating lol

I already posted basically this exact question in the r6 faq section but no one ever gave me a really definitive answer.

no one would answer, at least not on a public board for obvious reasons. but there are "speed cheats" out there for both RS and R6.

All of those who camp, cheat, etc. are really bad and even with their cheats can't get many kills.

Just like anyone who gets banned from GR, then finds another mac and a proxy to get back on is not smart, but rather idiotic for getting banned in the first place.

The only cheat like that I've seen on the Mac side involves tweaking the data files (same as adding more ammo, nades etc).  The only deal there that I'm aware of is that the person that made the cheat has to host and anyone that knows the cheat can take advantage of it on the host.

example.... everyone but the host was running normal in a game of RS.... the host was running twice as fast (not warping either).  How the cheat worked.... don't take a secondary weapon or nades and you run faster.  I remember instructions out there from when I played R6 on the PC (before it came to Mac, so don't think the worse of me) on how to tweak the data files for these things.... and after being in a few games lately (and talking to the host) they still are out there and working on RS.  

As for being able to run the cheat on another's host, I haven't heard how that's done yet, but can only say it's one more reason to call a dumbass a dumbass... If you can't play without cheats, you can't play....

There are lots of cheats for R6.  A while back, when I was in [dts] I saw lots of different kinds of mods and cheat, not just restricted to the host too.  There is a speed cheat out there, for sure.  I am not too sure how much you can actually modify your speed by, but from all that I have seen, the speed cheat is definately really really noticable.  Though...I am not 100% sure if there is a speed cheat out there where the speed is only increased, perhaps, enough to the point where you have an advantage, but it's really hard to spot.  NOT IN A BAD WAY, [dts] was just having some fun and making some mods, I've seen many different kinds of mods.  For example, there is the jumping mod (Get a hold of FF yet Zom@r?), there is the run through everything mod, and a few more, but I forget, it's been a while.  Oh, one mod I'm afriad of too...I've only seen it when it's the host using it, so I really really hope this is not a client side mod...when I first got onto GR, in my first week or so, I played in a game, and the host was using this mod where the recticle did not expand or contract, it stayed tight consistantly...now that is frightening if someone uses that...on the client side.  I am not here to give ideas on how to make cheats, but just to make you newer guys aware.  This is not new stuff, and fuck all you lamers that fucking use it you fucking cocksuckers.
If you are curious about it, please don't try tweaking your files, I'll become very suspicious.... Let's keep the game fun.  Kill with skill, not mods. That is all.

Mauti and Bander know of the speed "glitch", actually, it's not a glitch at all.  I know the trick, it is very easy to do, and the reason there is so few responses to this is because nobody wants it out.  I don't even want it out because it makes the biggest difference when playing against a person who has done the trick and who hasn't.  If your really interested, and have a high-standing position (a.k.a NOT NEWBIE), I'll tell you how it's done under these terms: #1: You don't tell anybody else.  #2: YOU NEVER USE IT!

I've seen the perfect accuracy cheat in a RS game... it worked on a specific gun for everyone and it was on the done on the host side.  He also tweeked the same gun with 188 rounds of ammo.

Peekay... I'm sorry for your friend, but don't be a dick and threaten us..... it doesn't matter what's wrong with your friend, it's no excuse to act like a dick.  So just don't do it.

Grifter, it's accualy more then 188 rounds, but because your guns only have approx 30 rounds, it messes up the HostSide stuff. The CIA made a gun once that had 1000 rounds (which we only used for a few weeks, in private CIA games, and we all deleted the files) and the other person (one without the MODed files) had only  188-288 rounds.

Yeah...anyone who may have had the misfortune of playing with me on my extra ammo mod, in which I gave all the guns huge amounts of ammo, had several glitches.  As host, I had 1000 rounds, but everyone else had 233...same thing with grenades.  Also, grenades wouldn't explode.  This is a bizarre R6 bug, but when the weapons are modded to have more/less ammo, grenade explosions are not visible unless you have the same or later version of r6 as the host.  Since I was a relative newcomer to r6, I couldn't properly make that mod.

I play in RS, and i also know that invitory problem, but its intresting... some of the other CIA's that tried it out had a full 1000 rounds, while others did not!

Oooo.. buff, you forgot the "run while crouched" cheat!

Only a few people know about it.. and.. (dangit!) Romeo and Juliet know about it... as well as Glide and I..

It allows you to remain standing, but to everyone else, you are crouched. So you can stand behind a barrel and shoot, except nobody else can see you b/c you are crouched in their view.. its a malicious cheat.. :)

Anyways, Julie, who really cares if you get pissed off? If people cheat, hosts will boot them. Simple. It will just make the community more aware of these cheats (instead of cheats like blue dooring)

then there's the crouch in the water in road cheat.....

if you crouch you can't be seen from above, but by using 3rd person you can see anyone that comes to look for you and shoot them.  They will see muzzle flashes however so you have to get em on the first shot.

that is of course only good for campers. 8)

black, if people were to start using the speed cheat in numerous numbers, then we could just do speed tests on Air which is how the PC world finds out cheaters.

Everyone starts out on one side of Air, then everyone starts running towards the other side - anyone who gets ahead is tked and then they look at the stats to see who they tked and that person is the speed cheater.. its rather simple..

Loud, that ISN'T a cheat, it's called camping. Using 3rd person to your advantage isn't cheating, contrary to public opinion.

maybe by my in river map i tought campers a lesson..... anyway. the most ammo i have seen in a gun is 500 (gatling gun from kumbuncha (sp?) that worked fine. im putting 200 (hopper copasity) in most of the guns in my remake of the paintball mod.

tight. if its a host/player moded gun, they all will have the same amount of ammo. if only the host mod's it, then he has the full amount, while other players only have partial amounts...

Wrath...using 3rd person to your advantage is not a cheat, but being a camper is a form of cheating in itself, as it defeats the fun of the game.  Unless of course you want to camp and find that fun......

But, as it is not exploiting a bug in the game or hacking the game itself it is not a cheat and should not be referred to as such.

Edit anything you want, from time nade is hiden (time till blows up). ?How strong you wanna through your nade, and the speed of your guy. ?Oh yeah, you can also change how many wounds you can take, you can make it so your aim is better when wounded, when teamate dies, or when you kill somebody. ?All is very good. ?You can also make the ladders twice the size as usual (Which is always fun), change colors of ground, ect. ?Surprise your R6 friends. ?Note: if your gonna play co-op/play single player, effects go for EVERYBODY, even terrs. ?If you think there's such thing as a pre-firing terr, think about them while they at twice the speed for instance.

There's always the blue door, and the Road Ambush trick. ?For the newbies, the Road Ambush cheat is to climb up the hill on the right...and go as far back on the hill and on the right side, there should be like a browninsh long mound covering the side of hill, go into that. ?Nobody can see you, yet you can see thru the hill (and shoot).

And there was always one I couldn't accomplish. ?One guy, (ak-47??) ?changed his whole body into a gun...I was WATCHING A FUCKING GUN WALKING, I couldn't believe my eyes, the shadow of the body was there, w/ a gun run there it was CRAZy, anybody figure that one out tell me.

I use the gold door cheat all the time, although it doesn't seem to work too well...

I also use that cheat where you look out a window in CSL and shoot people. They call it something like snooping or snipp.

I would agree that Axid cheats... I am almost positive. every game he gets about 4 kills and his movement/shooting skills arnt the greatest. then one game he was afk and i was host. i walked up to him and shot him in the chest 10+ times.. and he dident die intill i emptyed almost all my clip....  maybe im wrong... i have seen cybershark using that speedcheat

...now is the time when all the lesser players start accusing the good players of cheating because they have bad aim, shot in the wrong places or just weren't fast enough...

Can a host (no clan names included) make a uni invisible with out all the 'clients' having the 'mod' files?

Can a host 'fix' the lag, so that they move freely, yet the other team/person can hardly move at all?? This prevents proper aiming. Please respond, because there is a large possiblity that some people are using this.

Why do you think I cheat?  Because you shoot at me 15 times and I don't die?  Hell, I only carry extra ammo, because I shoot at everyone else more than 15 times and they still don't fucking die.  If I were to start accusations everytime I saw someone that didn't die after being shot at, I'm afraid everyone that plays R6 would hate me.  Unless you have solid proof, or can do a cheat test, please don't go off shooting your mouth and naming names.  It does no one any good, especially yourself because it shows poor sportsmanship.

I usally avoid boards for bs like this.  Hell I mentioned in the first post, and for cheating too.  I like how people go out of there way  to make others look bad when they know jack! (Regarding to 1st post) Shocking as it may be zomar but yes I really did have my R6 fucked.  I remember quite well  cause I asked wrath if he knew of a site that had any PC server listings.  I wanted to play pc peeps with original r6.  Well he gave me a site and i found a server and joined it. I played a few games then my comp crashed.  Then I got back on to stay with mac games on GR. I joined a game and found yes i was running fast. I didnt know how to fix and peeps yelled at me. Ofcourse yell at ignorance than actually help its much easier for peeps. Till finally i asked around wtf wrong with R6 and someone told me how to fix.  So peepay or peekay what ever name u like to hide behind to point fingers I guess I would have to know this in order to fix , oh yah!  I find it ironic for someone to  be like peeps i know who use this trick or whatever  and be  upset about it to basically inform every newb  of   tricks  you despise in the same post. That must have been a plus in ending cheaters huh? I sorry to inform you that if u get and occasional kill from me that i wasnt cheating . You tend to learn  how to play since owning the game since it came out on pc then to mac.  Kinda like riding a bike for the first time no ones a pro at it,  you fall u get hurt but learn.  Today we have 6 yr olds learning to ride  and pros like matt hofman and dave mirra doing insane shit on bikes.  Granted i had the game a long time but i still not god at it.  I dont kill 5 people a game.  You may think that would make someone want to resort to cheating. You can't control whether or not someone else cheats. All you can do is play fairly without cheats and for the most part, at least for me, that is enough.

OK first off i would like to say that i have been a member for quite some time, i have seen these "cheats" come and go before my eyes, like the ones buffy mentioned i.e. walk through walls, and reticle cheat.  As far as this speed cheat is concerned, i will tell you this, Cybershark does not use it, Zomar i'm pretty ashamed that you would accuse him of something like that, just because someone has skills doesnt mean that they cheated to get there. All the skilled players today have been playing r6 since the day it was born onto the Mac.  All you newbies (i got nothing against you, you keep the spirit of r6 alive) have got to stop accusing us skilled players of cheating, you are newbies! you might not want to admit it, because it would hurt your 'image' that you established, but you all suck, compared to us.  Give this cheat thing a rest, i have not seen anyone cheat since the beginning of r6 on gameranger, and i dont think its coming back any time soon, seeing how you guys accuse people of cheating who dont,  just imagine what it would be like if people really did now a days.  BTW cyber, i have fun making those "crappy" map mods, so back off biatch  ;) . Everyone: When I said hypocrites, I was referring to multiple people who have posted on this thread. The reason I didn't name names is because they may not be currently cheating or hopefully, they had a little bit of fun editing the constants file, played a few games, but then went back to normal. Finally, the last thing I want is a Salem witch-hunt, with everyone accusing everyone else of cheating.

while blackhand may have not known cyber for that long, i have known him since he was a newbie on gr (sorry for bein an ass when u asked into seals that first time, but u were a newbie, and frankly u sucked at the point) i have seen him since his days in pod, then seals, then who cares cuz he made a dumb decision ( hehe jk) i have never once had any reason to believe that he cheats... so any newbies out there who want to bitch out cyb, come to me (then again, newbies often accuse me, seals, and most all other good vets of cheatin)

as far as alias goes, im almost dead sure he didnt come by his low ass account legitiamately (im still amazed by how he and hockey have those accounts) i tried to think back, and i dont really remember alias with all the vets who have accounts under 20000 or even 25000... then again, i could be wrong... then again, he was in rain, and i cant think of any respectable vets who were in rain

Alas, it is the truth, this account was not mine, although it was in the family, (older brother) he used to play under the name Prince of Lies, maybe you have seen him?  It took me a while to get him to give me this account.  Yes i did play under a different name for a while, and yes i did used to suck, at least im not hiding behind a curtain of lies and hiding things that arent true, i can admit what comes accross me, as far as me saying ive been on since the beginnig of gr, i dont think i ever said that, people just assume.  Sorry for the mix up people.
