Title: -> Mac Shoutcasting Network <-
Post by: KoS.Rebel on May 29, 2004, 05:17:30 am
We are still alive ladies and Gents. But we cannot live without the mac gaming community. We have been accepting requests but no one has come to us. I feel that i could bring some excitement back into the community but without you guys, Mac Shoutcasting Network is nothing. Im hoping with the beginning of summer more peeps will be warring and my services will be used. If not MSN will die out and ill go back to strickly gaming. Im hoping you guys can leave me with some kind of feedback onto why no one requests shoutcasts. I can only show you the door, you must walk through it.

I don't think anyone wants the extra lag. And regular season games can be kinda boring to listen to, not much on the line. I would be interested in listening to finals games though, as they actually mean something.

Umm alaric....ive shoutcasted 2 matches so far....both said i caused no lag. If u feel like it, ask the guys from zt, 2RH , and MOD about if i lagged. I did not cause any lag in great amounts. Too bad mac guys dont have dedicated servers cause that would eliminate the possibility of lag all together. If you want to ask those guys theyll tell you all about it....actually if the guys who played in the matches from the clans i just named would reply here that would be nice.

Thought the shoutcast u did was a hell of a good laught. the guys that played said lag wasn't an issue - it was only a 2v2cqb but still..

If *NRG and :MoD: Get this battle going im sure we'd all be up for you shoutcasting it rebel - if we can use waterproof's server lag shoulnd't be to much of an issue - and well with 16guys or more you should have plenty to talk about ;)

Reb, you need to find a way to shoutcast the match between BoC and Collective. Can you shoutcast from another one of your Mac's?

Its a possibility.....id have to take all my software....burn it to a cd and transfer it to another on of my macs and take my headset with me....but i dont think hyb would miss that headset.....we will see. Sounds good BFG just keep me posted....if u dont see me on GR email me at rebel@killersonspree.com cause i check my email about 25 times a day.

Lol. was great fun by oh my life did we get some crazy ass lag in there :) Looking forward to having a listen dread to think what was said when ara loaded up the Tac-nuke eh ;)

Couple of suggestions for the future...

? If the commentators knew GhR a lot better - both maps players and the game in general i think it would add a lot to the listening quality :)

? If the files could be edited down just to the cbs - the mod one u guys just did didn't have anything for the first 50 minutes! would have been nice to have had the actual cb - (and would have resulted in a tiny file!)

Good stuff though.. just wish i hadn't played like such an idiot :D

I agree with BFG, it would be nice if they were edited before posting them on the net.

Apart from that I thought it was fun.
I'd like to know what kind of apps are being used, maybe a little description of how all is done on the website???
