Title: Non-network/FPS games for a laptop Post by: Ace on April 22, 2004, 11:20:25 pm I've got airburst on my laptop, but pretty much every other game is either an FPS or a networked multiplayer game. I'm looking for games that I can spend 5-30 minutes on killing time. Can anyone suggest anything?

Ohwait.. . NON fps games.. . nevermind.. It does start up in couple seconds though, and you only need to use keyboard to play the game. Try www.instantchess.com .. Finds opponent really fast and easy LOL.. . NON network.. . ;D just ignore me.. . Escape Velocity (all) - Sure you know these space adventure games. Asshole2 (now for OSX and free) - fun, mindless card game. Cribbage - a card game that makes you think a bit more. Heroes of Might and Magic 4 - Real time strategy. Command and Conquer Demo - latest real time strategy. Masters of Orion (2 or 3) - 2 is OS9, 3 takes forever. You Don't Know Jack (Sports is fun) - OS9, but great mindless trivia with an attitude. oh btw, brushfire is great. I'm rocking the techno and the forest fires and the little man that says "fire spotted!" good catch! and also...any one have any ideas for an icon for a games folder? (http://www.deltatao.com/spacewardho5.html) by Delta Tao (http://deltatao.com/). It's a simplistic 4X game (other examples of the 4X genre are Civilization, Master of Orion, and Alpha Centauri) Only $40 to register, and oriented towards fun and quick games. Try the demo.
And I have no idea why Emulation.net is down. I haven't been there in a couple of months, but last time I tried, it was up. Hrmph. I have downloaded many of the ones you mentioned. Bucc, you are a bastard for reintroducing me to Asshole. I got over that addiction once already, but now I'm screwed. At least classes will be done soon.
