Title: Strange RvS Crash.... Post by: spike on March 29, 2004, 10:58:13 pm So of late I've had some weird ass crashes in RvS. It seems to happen when there is a combination of actions(for example, coming back from a lean because someone is shooting at me, and turning at the same time, while someone behind me shoots me down) it seems to over load the computer, and the screen fades, sort of. It turns very pixelated, but in a very washed out, whitish electric colors. The sound of the gun keeps repeating, and there's not way out of it, besides restart.
I swear to god I'm not on LSD. Anyone know what this is, or what causes it? Title: Re:Strange RvS Crash.... Post by: c| Splinter on March 29, 2004, 11:21:26 pm Have you upgraded to OS X 10.3.3? Since I upgraded, I get a crash sometimes when I get shot and killed. Computer just dies, almost like it goes to sleep, screen goes black, and I get the last bit of audio that was sounded looping constantly in my speakers. No way to come back from it either without shutting off the computer. Very frustrating. I usually happens every 30 minutes or so. I know a lot of the other guys in c| have had that same problem since upgrading to 10.3.3.

Screen fades to black and the audio seems to skip and repeat itself. No way to recover other then restarting the computer. I hope this will be fixed in an update. I have sent in bug reports on this to apple.
I can forsee big problems if this happens in a clan battle next season if a update isnt released soon. *Are you guys using ATI video cards? Wondering if its problematic to ATI. Post by: BTs_GhostSniper on April 01, 2004, 12:04:51 am I don't know if this problem is similar....but in America's Army I crash and the screen goes black then returns me to the desktop....only since I upgraded to 10.3.3. I also have an ATi card. Happens usually at least once a session for me.
Title: Re:Strange RvS Crash.... Post by: Biohzrd on April 04, 2004, 08:21:58 pm What you are describing is a kernal panic. I have also been getting these since the update to 10.3.3. You might want to check the error log file and send a copy to aspyr or whoever cares about these things.
