Before I order this game, which looks like a real beauty, I want to make sure it's not gonna be a GR Flop and a decent amount of people are gonna play it.

Yea i do...but the min requirements are always bullshit...I would probably have to tweak it to the max, play at 640x480 resolution and even then get like 10fps when something happens. Just not a gaming experience i think is worthy money.

If i had an imac 700 i honestly wouldn't enjoy it... i hate tryiing to play games when my system struggles... it kinda takes the fun out of it when your comp is groaning at your every move ;)

I am currently involved with Call of Duty. I'm not gona waste your time, or mine, typing about how great the game is. But lets put it this way....

CPL has announced that CoD will be the main event in their next winter tornement, beating out Counter Strike... theres a reason for that... and it's not because counter strike is a washed up game. Millions still play it competively. Call of Duty is JUST THAT GOOD.

Not to mention, it feels like a mix between many games. You can rush with a PSSH, and make it feel like rogue spear. Or you could sit back with a scoped Kar98k, and make it feel like ghost recon. It has a WWII theme, resembling MOHAA just alot better MP maps and graphics.

The only complaint people have about call of duty is that the single player is too short. I beat it in 2 nights.

PS: For those worrying about if it will run or not on your computer, I will offer this comparison. On ym pc, I run call of duty with atleast 60 fps, constant, and it never drops below that. However, I have around 30-20 fps in raven-shield. Therefore, if your computer can run raven-shield decently, it should kick the crap out of cod.  CoD uses a modified quake III engine... god don't we just love those?

Probably wasent your intent to start anything, nor is mine.. . Just cause you couldnt learn to play the game (GhR) dosent mean the game sucks, im basing this on that if you think it is neccesary to camp in GhR to survive obvioulsy means you haven't learned it. Bottom line...don't try to make RS seem like a "rusher game" and GHR as a "camper game" and thus by common standards making RS somehow more honorable...or whatever. Like i said...not trying to start anything, back on topic.. .

I can run Quake3 on my comp fairly well.. . So thx for that one..

Anyways.....Ultimo, I cant wait for this game to come out. By the end of May when its release I should have my new Dual 2.5 G5 ;) . Maybe we can start a COD clan and compete on the PC ladders. I know Rebel, and Nomad are getting it. Let the WW|| havok begin!!

I hope so, but who knows. You would think there would be support for a game like Halo, but there isnt.  :( If there isnt I hope there is a kick ass in-game list like AA.

I'm gonna ignore Joka's post... my original intent was to excite players from all games to buy cod.

Concerning gameranger support, I can imagine that it would somewhat resemble the way mohaa is intergrated in GR. You can join from gameranger, but it has a great in-game server list too.

VooD, the offer sounds great but right now I'm involved with my clan "Dues ex Machina" in CAL League, trying to become professional gamers. Were saving money to fly down to texas for the CPL tornement, and 50,000 cash prize tornement for CoD. It's gonna be SICK!! .......so I can't picture myself starting a new clan with a whole bunch of mac nubs........   ;)

Joka...All he was saying was that there's a lot less emphasis on rushing in GhR than there is in RS, which is true. You don't see people blindly running around, you see them carefully sneaking, sometimes too carefully, then getting shot by me.  ::)
Anyhoo, I'll be getting CoD for sure. I can't wait! Been excited about this one for a while now.

Well, it looks like a good number of people are getting it, and if Evill doesn't give this game GR support, then we might be able to kindly ask Mr. Kevill to add it to it's list. I'm guessing just like Raven Shield, we will know about it's GR support or not before it releases, RvS had a "GameRanger Supported" note in it's system specs before any of us threw our money at it.

Who cares if GR supports it!? Its more important it supports PC vs mac play WHICH IT DOES!!!! BETA TESTER POWAH!

Ok, It looks like I'm getting this game as well, but I'm gonna buy this game at my local CompUSA instead of paying 7.50 or 8.00 for shipping. I heard early to mid-may release of the game.

By the way, is anyone else getting this game? It's in the best interest to make sure we know who will be.

Yes Crypt, you have talked me into it, so I will be getting it when it comes out (wow, the THIRD game I've EVER bought, after Ghost Recon and Raven Sheild...America's Army was FREE).

Wow, you never owned a console did you? I used to drop 300 a year on Blockbuster games for my consoles. Now it's about even for Mac and my Xbox, I am going to buy Splinter Cell Pandora Tommorow when I can, and of course, Call of Duty when it releases.

P.S. I sure hope MoH users will convert over to this game in order to make it successful.

I'd have to agree with Ultimo, CoD is great, I tried it at CompUSA this weekend.  Anyways, I believe the creators of CoD are also the creators of MoH:AA...it's a nice game.

Possibly there will be a demo or something Stripes, if not, then you could just wait to hear stories from the people who bought it to see how well it runs on lower-end G4's. I'm definitely getting it, and I'll offer my advice just like i did with RvS.
