Title: RvS Help Post by: Rigid Ice on December 26, 2003, 07:39:50 pm Haven't been here in a while- stopped modding since my friend no longer has webspace :(
Anyways, I'm having some difficulities with Raven Shield. I just bought it, and the first thing I see when I try to play is "You video card is not supported". Sounds pretty bad- do I just need to try to update my video card? (I figured you guys would know more than me ;) ) Title: Re:RvS Help Post by: Raven2367 on December 26, 2003, 07:49:50 pm One important thing to know is...
What video card do you have?? Try getting the newest drivers for it! Title: Re:RvS Help Post by: Rigid Ice on December 26, 2003, 08:02:05 pm I'll let you know what video card I have- I'll have to ask someone else in my family- might be a Matrox Marvel or Millenium.
I'll try updating the drivers first Title: Re:RvS Help Post by: Rigid Ice on December 28, 2003, 01:52:29 am Well, I have a Matrox G400, and updating the drivers did not help.
I may buy a new video card, but it would be a waste of money, especially just so I could just play one game. Well, who knows. If I ever get this game to work, I'll let you guys know! Title: Re:RvS Help Post by: bronto on December 28, 2003, 10:40:36 am my nvidia tnt2 isnt supported.
recommended video card specifications are; 128 MB DirectX? 8.1-compatible 3D video card supported chipsets are; ATI? Radeon? 9700 Pro Radeon 9000 Pro Radeon 8500LE Radeon 8500 Radeon 7500 Radeon ViVO Radeon Radeon VE NVIDIA? GeForce? 4 Ti 4600 GeForce 4 Ti 4400 GeForce 4 MX 460 GeForce 4 MX 440 GeForce 3 Ti500 GeForce 3 GeForce 2 GTS GeForce 2 MX400 GeForce 2 MX Geforce 256 DDR GeForce 256 SDR Title: Re:RvS Help Post by: Rigid Ice on December 28, 2003, 03:56:20 pm One question (since I don't know too much :o )- Are the video cards above the only supported cards? Doesn't seem like a lot of video cards.
Well, If I do buy a new one, I'll be sure it works ;) Title: Re:RvS Help Post by: Raven2367 on December 29, 2003, 01:42:30 am Hmm in fact it is a lot because most video cards only have either Radeon or Geforce chips on them... like Ive got a Ge-Force MX 440 SE by A-Open not NVIDIA.
Title: Re:RvS Help Post by: Rigid Ice on December 29, 2003, 03:30:33 pm Not to make fun of G-Force chips, but I heard they were no good - I don't know for myself though
Radeon, I may get, seems nice. I'd ether get that or a newer version of Matrox cards. My G400 was geared more towards video editing and originally said it wouldn't be able to support any games, but only one game isn't supported (RvS). |
