Title: Ghost Recon Mapping on pc/mac Post by: BTs_MrBombastic on November 07, 2003, 08:22:44 am hi there guys!
After i have done a 3d course with cinema 4d i would really like to know how to build maps for ghost recon. Where i finally want to play them would be on a macintosh, on gameranger. But i have a pc here to build it on. What am i able to do: I can build houses mountains and stuff whitout problems, and put some textures inside. Thats not very hard. So i create a world and save it. Then i have a cinema4d file (.c4d). What do i do now? Are there any converters to convert a c4d file or any other program file of a 3 dimensional program into a finished ghost recon map? I also know tehre are some text files at every map which say how many fog, snow, rain and stuff it has. Where do i get this? Other questions about the 3d world: Do i have to implement the textures into the file for a ghr map? Or shall i create a folder and link them from there? And does the world have to be closed? Does it need to be covered by a sky and by side walls? Thanks for every answer / idea u post here! The map file and all textures should be in one folder but doesn't have to be. For tutorials look at http://www.ghostrecon.net

Also if i have bought ghost recon for mac already? Title: Re:Ghost Recon Mapping on pc/mac Post by: *DAMN Mauti on November 15, 2003, 02:48:04 am I think it would be illegal but may you get the free tools somewhere else ;) Further it can be that some tools like IGOR have to access the map files so a complete GR Installation on the PC can't hurt.
