Maniac, the point is that it's a confermation straight from the Aspyr site, under "system requirements", of something was only rumors and contridicting statements in the past.

 

Mac vs. Mac is fine. God knows everyone in this community loves to scream cheat or aimbot. Besides if we get the same amount of new gamers as we got from GhR we should be fine.

 Ah, but it ruins my chance to join on my PC and own you all while you're still noobs. ;)  

RS has Mac-PC but I've nevr played any PCers unless they are people from GR or friends of people from GR. This is a great size of community, there enough people to have some drama, but not too many so we would have too much drama. Not to mention we all know everyone.  And if you wanna blame anyone it was UbiSoft's fault not Aspyrs or i5works.

If you think the PC verison sucks then the mac version will suck. If you liked the PC verison, you'll like the mac version.

Especially on my machine 33 mhz under the minimum.

RVS supports punkbuster which, for all you more foolish then the first fools is an anticheat program that is used in Quake3 and all other FPS. highly acclaimed.

so instead of RS where no PCs would have meant less cheating players it means less honest quality competition.

I forgot 2 add the part "G5 Required" for play.

?????!! G5 required for play??? Where do you see that. All I see is 733 minimum requirments w/ at least a 32bit 3D card.

 He means "G5 required for it to be playable," unlike Ghost Recon, a high framerate not only makes the game look way better, but makes it 100 times easier.

First, Typhy spells many things wrong. You should see him try to spell "castrate."

First of all, i can kick your ass at 20fps just as well as i can at 60fps in ghr. Good players adjust, but in my case i got an extra 40fps to adjust to.

the moral of the story is to buy a new mac every 2 years, and not a imac emac or laptop.

The only issue that RVS will bring up, is that there will be a whole new slew of "Faggot Noobs", which bump the current "faggot noobs" up one notch on the grand scheme of things to the rank of "homo noobs"

Owning a 3 grand machine just for playing some games isnt practical. I rather own my imac then suffer the price.

Lot's of people buy the top of the line Jeb, they last longer in the speed range so that when the next update comes out you're brand spanking new G5 doesn't feel so "obsolete."

That nullifies your win over Kami Viper.  He said nobody plays full price, not that nobody buys top of the line.  Just like nobody pays MSRP in Detroit for a new car.  There are so many ways to get a discount, you'd be foolish to pay full price.  I think my cost on a new Dual 2GHz starts at $2600, not $3000.  Just like Jeb paying $1699 for one that starts at $1999.  I just ordered Panther for $69.

Apple Developer Network, Education Discount, etc  They are there.  

Look at what some of these guys did.  They spent $100 on an Apple Developers Network membership, just so they could get the discounts.  I think I read that they even get 10.3 free too with the Developers membership.

the first shipment of the dev package contained a whole copy of 10.2, i think we get panther with our g5s anyways, but i wouldn't be surpised to get another copy of panther from adc. I think alaric did the student developer connection also. And they sent me a free shirt i'll never wear!

Ya, I'm going to order Panther for $69 through the Apple Education Discount.

Why do I need to upgrade my computer?  My original 128k Mac plays Ghost Recon just fine at .000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001 Frames Per Second and I kill people just fine!

I think FPS can make you either a good or bad player. I see it as a  big effect of how you play. Playing rs on a 266 killed me. Then when i tryed it out on a emac their was a HUDGE different the video cards were only 4-8mb apart. But myst. is right, if the lag is unbearable its pointless, no matter if you have g5 or a g3. I wounder what RvS lag is like?

Viper, how many superdrives does someone need?  I still haven't burned a DVD with the one I have.
