Some random gentlemen is currently using a taunt wich I belive is a little over the edge.  It's foul, rude, and inconsiderate I think, but perhaps I'm being too harsh.  When this guy kills someone, up on the screen appears:

"You got raped."

I'm sorry, but to me that crosses my very loose and liberal line of acceptable speach.

You're absolutely right. It's rude, crude, foul, and ofensive. But personally, I don't mind. In fact, some of mine are even worse  ;)

It's a game of killing and your discussing what is inconsiderate. "You got raped" is not over the line compared to what I have seen or used myself. It's just a part of the game. I don't see how you can find this offensive unless you yourself have been raped before.

Men trivialize rape all the time, people are much cruder and more insensitive online, and online gaming is predominantly male. Shock value is one of the primary tenets of trash talk -- what do you expect?

Little children will be little children. Threre is nothing you can do, so don't worry about it.

i remember when that was all the rage in the RS MP bound messages (only you could have a sound effect of a woman screaming).


I've seen, and i have MUCH worse taunts.

Oh well.  Let us be barbarians in virtual combat, but let us remember to be tactful in reality.  Personally, I'm sticking with my current taunt:

"YAHTZEE!"

Ahhhh ....taunts...Wich reminds me i have to update my taunt arsenal, the curent ones are growing old.

Frases like "Wanna boogie with Jesus? Got a brand new wonder drug called lead..." and "bow wow wow yippi yo yippi yay" Just dont scare ppl to death anymore.

...I've been <HUMPING> and taunting fools with MP Bounds since before .ict or .aHa!   Hell, many hated me for <HUMPING> and taunting them after I killed them, and some even still hate me cuz of it! ;D  I find it funny, especially since there's games with built in taunts, like MoH:AA.  All in all, it's everybody's ways of having a lil extra fun with the game, and I find it quite funny. ;)  I remember back in the day CB'ing {IAM}, and Me and Monk humped like 4 {IAM}'s in one room in the Met, while 2 other |?K|'s looked for the last {IAM} left...   Oh yeah, we were being extra loud with our <HUMPING> and we had sweet ass MP bounds! ;D  Good times! :D

I don't know if its really unsportsman like conduct.  Its part of the game, plain and simple.  Just like there is violence in Hockey and some may get offended that its exists but the truth is that it does exist and is part of the game.
