That's the thread where GRIFT posted the response he got about OS X and RS/R6. Take a look. Unfortunately things don't look good for us.

Elandrion, what processor(s) do you have and how much memory? I'm on a G4 500mhz laptop (ATI Rage Mobility) with 512 megs of RAM and R6 doesn't run well for me in Classic. Admittedly, I haven't optmized Classic yet as I probably should, but I'm not sure if it would be enough.

Well, I actually can't play R6/RS in classic as my monitor has issues with OSX's refresh rate changes entering games (same problem occurs with many OSX games as well).  I fixed it on RtoCW by going into the data files and setting a good refresh rate, but I've yet to find that in other games and it is pissing me off to no end.  I have Black and White here and I can't even play it.

I am sure this has been gone over many a time before... but why must osx users be forced to move onto new games ? I personally Love rogue spear and i hate the fact that i can no longer play it... we should sign a petition or something to get it carbonized! anyone with me ?

ps. evill, very sorry for messing with you, please remove the indefinate ban sentence on the account ghostface killah.

@ Ace: DP G4/500 w. 320 MB ram and Radeon AGP... I must say that I didn't look at the framerate in R6/RS; I only looked if it runs. as far as i have tried it out, the framerate in RS is lower than in os9, but I didn't compare R6.
@ Bondo: which Monitor do you have? LCD?

Yeah it is an NEC MultiSync LCD 1550V (if that helps).  I don't have the refresh rates when I plug in my old monitor, but it sucks so I'd really like to get the stuff working with this one.
