Title: America's Army 1.9 Post by: Supernatural Pie on August 06, 2003, 06:36:34 am Well, apparently, the Windoze version of AA 1.9 was leaked, and made available to the public accidentally. Now, they're saying that it is the official copy, but it hasn't officially been "released." They said that you can still complete medic training, and play on unofficial servers, but it will take a little more time for the official servers to be put up.

Anyway, what i'm thinking will happen is that there will be an update released. (Right now, the only thing out is the full version). When the update is released, I believe that it will have the mac version, and if not, that should come out fairly soon after. They are in the middle of beta testing it still, and it was one of those builds that was leaked.
The Linux and OSX versions should be out a couple weeks after the windoze version is officially released. We have not gotten word to even start beta testing the mac version yet. We aren't testing yet, but it's not going to be months behind either.
You guys just need to relax a little. It took them a year to port the game, now you want the latest update (which they were working on BEFORE the mac version came out) ready at the exact same time. It's written for windoze, then ported to Mac and Linux. I don't think it would be fair to hold the release back from the majority of players just to make some mac users happy either. |
