Sure, the waffle might have little squares on it, making it fun to cut and divide it, but it's just not the same. The pancake is able to absorb butter and syrup and whatever else you put on it. With the waffle, all that stuff just builds up into the little squares, and it's kinda disgusting when you bite into it. The pancake is also flexible, allowing you to wrap it around sausages and bacon, Homer Simpson-style. The waffle will either break or crumble, unless it's a very soft waffle. So, in conclusion, the pancake is deliciously fantastic, and is the baddest mother-blanking breakfast item.

Anyway, the reason waffles are superior is because of of their shape. Now, you said that syrup/butter/etc.. goes into the squares and stays there, and that on pancakes it gets absorbed. That is not true. It all depends on your syrup aiming ability as well as rationing. Now, if you try to put anything on a pancake, it just slips off. Now, let us also factor in the many types of waffles out there. We have miniature waffles, a.k.a. Eggo? Waffles. Next up, we have the plain waffles that can be toasted. However, new technology has allowed the creation of a MICROWAVABLE waffle. :o You'll never get a microwavable PANCAKE! Also, let us not forget the mother of all breakfast foods, the BELGIUM WAFFLE! Most importantly, all of these can come in a variety of flavors, including, yes Haz, chocolate chips. And last but not least, we must remember that if it wasn't for waffles, we would not have ice-cream cones! Think about a world without ice-cream cones. I mean... sure, we could eat ice cream out of a bowl... but what the hell... that's boring. You can find microwave or toaster pancakes. You can't make a penut-butter pancake sandwich, sure you can!!! I make pancake sandwhiches all the time. But the best is making your own pancakes from scratch, making them as big as you want and adding shit to it, like nuts, ice cream, chocolate, etc.
