I got my account susoended and i need a new one. somebody please make an account for me that works. For you knowbies who don't know me, i am one of the older members of GR. I havn't been on in a while though (last time was about 10 months ago) for the guys who do know me.... please help me get my account back or at least make me a new one and send the info to oties@yahoo.com.

Otties, there are many ways to get around Bans.... it's all in how much time and money you have.  There are ways to change your IP and MAC address (both software and hardware).  If you do a little reading, and depending on your personal restrictions (like if your dad doesn't want to change your IP address because of the site he's hositing....) There are still ways around it.  

Mind you, the best way is to probably apologize to Evill and say you wont ever do it again.... then stay the hell out of the construct, since that's probably where you got banned in the first place (every permaban I've ever heard of besides Romeo and Peekay were from mouthing off to Evill in the construct.)

BTW, if you see someone going by the tag EVIL The Fascist, it is me, although it might not  be me for long is Evill doesn't take kindly to it.  Naturally EVIL stands for my fake clan name Every Vile Incandescent Lightbulb, and has nothing to do with Scott  ;)

Lol, Actually about 2 years ago I got ban for saying to Evill:  We're trying to fucking talk here, Why don't you get off your fat ass and go do somthing.    That was in the Main Lobby.

Note that I wasn't the one who said that: It was my brother on my account.

along the U.S. and the Soviets there where french resistance fighters, and parts of their army wich escaped with the brits from "D?nkirchen" and who returned to be victorious aside the other Allied Countries. Yeah, the Brits where there too, Poland and some others also. Dude: It was called a WORLDwar cuz there where lot of actors in that bloody game.

Okay. Here: First thing that you will have to do is Carfully burn everything from your HD on to CD. Here is how you are still ban and why you can't get a new account: When you get ban from gameranger it creats secret files which are hidden on your HD ( I know this from working wiith Ambrosia Software. ) You will need to delete these files, The only way to do this will be to burn your entire HD onto CD being carefull only to burn the things that you know what are and just leaving the stuff that you don't mind loosing.  Then delete your HD, Go to www.gameranger.com and get a new account. make sure to use a new email adress. That way you should be able to get back on.

Someone actually hired you to work at their company?  I suppose they thought they'd take a chance.

And btw, all that is banned is your static IP, so if you can change your IP you can get a new account.  You also need a new e-mail but that isn't hard to do.  It isn't necessary to initialize your HD to get rid of it.  Also, if your hidden file is true, there are applications you can use to find hidden files and delete them you know?

Arguing history with Bander is futile  ;D however there is nothing to argue about here. I think (not sure) what Bondo was trying to get at was that we were supplying the Brits and the other allies with weapons and munitions before and after we joined the war and it had been documented that without our weaponry the French resistance and the Brits would have been in deeper shit than they were already in.

First, where did you get your degree Typhy, a cracker jack box?  There are many, many posts back there a bunch of pages talking about how you can and can't do this... I'll sum up a few points.

The only time you'd want to back up your entire HD onto CD is if all your apps are WAREZ...  after all... if you have all the application CD's, you don't need to back them up.. just the data.

As for banning... there are lots of ways that you can get banned... ever hear of a MAC address (you know, a hardware address... so if you are on dialup or DHCP.. an IP ban wouldn't work alone).  Hidden files are another way...  not so hidden files are yet another way.  

So, fyi Typhy, as someone that has actually seen it done (and that's all I'm going to say about that on the record), just reformatting your HD and starting over will not get you un-permabanned from GR.  

BTW, before you ask, I just finished a second Masters (more or less in Network Securtiy), so that's how I know.
