Yep, all that bickering between Buccaneer, Ace, Bondo, Jeb, and myself was all for your amusement.  Yep Cossack, you should have been laughing all along, because we were being funny, not annoying or off topic!

You see, Buccaneer never actually insulted anyone.  Bondo didn't really compare Grifter to Hitler, and I certainly didn't defend him for it.  Ace and Jeb and others never added comments into the fray, because there wasn't actually one.  Buccaneer, Bondo, and I have the greatest mutual respect for one another!

Wow, we sure had you going didn't we?


Ok, now for the comments. . .what did you think of our little ruse?  Should we keep it going?  Sometimes a little discord is good for a community.  What do you think?

Guys, this is just Loudass's idea, continued from the Black Ops section, on how to forget the past and stop the flame wars.  And a bad idea.  Things built on lies are just stupid, which includes this idea and thread.

Criticize my methods of going about it all you like, I'm trying and I'm not perfect, but I want to know if everyone is really against the ultimate goal - to have the forum more the way it used to be - where no one felt compelled to act the way we all have been.  I.e. like kids.

Double post here - but that last one was important.  I guess in that I am asking for support.  I'd just like for it all to stop - it's starting to seem like a sick game. . .and I for one have had enough perversity.  So for god's sake, stop telling me how stupid I am and address the issue.

I've addressed it with you many times.  But you continue to contribute to the situation, not help fix it.  This whole thread contributes to the situation.  Bringing it up in yet another thread sure in hell isn't going to fix it, is it?  (You should have learned this from the previous 5 threads brought up about it).

I guess I get frustrated when I see you and Bondo at it again.  That's why I broke in, and made it worse perhaps.  So obviously it needs further discussion unless you think it's good that you two argue the way you do.

So, you didn't answer me.  What is going to fix it?  Really. . .I want to know.  That's why there's yet another thread, and why we'll still be having these conversations until things get fixed.  Unless you want to tell me there's nothing broken.  Do you like the status quo?

Loud, your biggest problem is that you are trying to be Bucc and Bondo's mother. Maybe Bondo is into that roleplaying deal, but I have a feeling Bucc isn't. Therefore, I suggest you butt out unless your presence is requested.

BTW, if you weren't posting this for sympathy or whatever, why didn't you post it in the Black Ops?

I've said a few times that I'm not trying to mother people, but that Bondo is my friend, as far as this forum goes.  

I think all the grudges and things people perpetuate are stupid, but I can't help but butt in to defend a friend.  I think the attacks on Bondo have been a little different from those on people against whom there's a consensus of disrepect, like Romulus, Peekay, Rapid, and the like.

Bondo isn't perfect by any means, I'm not trying to raise anyone to sainthood.  But I will step in to defend him as  a friend.  So, are you really going to request my presence in attacking him because of one misjudged comment (his and your interpretations were both stupid) made months and months ago?

I dropped my suggestions about posting style a long time ago, but that's held as a grudge too.  Ace, I'm not going to post the same thing twice, but elsewhere you asked what was wrong with a little hate.  Well, nothing in general, but you're all creative enough to spread it around a little and come up with some new reasons.  Holding grudges - this is addressed mostly to Bucc - is just plain stupid.  I can't stop you any more than I can condense your posts, but it's long since time to drop it.

Finally, people keep disagreeing with that idea - that these grudges should be dropped - but I still haven't heard.  What do you suggest we do otherwise?  Just stop talking about it and wait for the next flare up?  Because as long as everyone keeps thinking the way they do, we're not getting anywhere.  I've indicated a willingness to be flexible - why is that too much to ask anyone else?

I just kinda realized this now after reading Loud's post. It's really not that hard to post something that isn't insulting the other person, while still getting the point across. This is why, from this day forward, I will never tell Rapid to go spraypaint an overpass ever again. I'm a new Mells. So how about we all try and limit the insults for a week, have a little truce with the people we bitterly hate? It's a way to prove how cool and mature we all really are. Sounds good?

Because your indications and your actions on this subject have never matched up in the past.

Because when told that starting another public flame war will solve it, you do it anyway.

Because you contribute to the problem, even when you say you are trying to help.

See, Bucc, here's Mellow, a person you haven't yet lost your respect for, with a perfectly reasonable idea.  Tell me again why NOT have a truce, why is it BAD to be altruistic?  Don't take it from me, take it from him.

I've called for that all along, perhaps hypocritically, perhaps poorly, but how can you still think it's a bad idea?  Just because I don't express it well?  Or even live up to it myself?

So what is your answer?  In the past you've dropped it on me - if I don't say anything, everything will be peaceful right?  Yet I get zero respect from you, Bondo in the negatives, if such is even possible.  And you two still argue.  If you can't ignore each other, drop it already.  Unless you have a better idea?

My answer is simple.  You haven't listened to anything I've said to you.  Here, in the PM's or in Black Ops.  So how can there be anything but a Fuck You, to go with the "Fuck You" you've given me here?  Don't try to use this thread to show how you are being reasonable, because you are not.  I've told you how I feel, told you what it will take.  You have done nothing but ignore it.  So, you have my answer.

If I've said it once, I've said it 100 times.  And I have.  Every-time you start a thread like this, it is just one more reason not to.  I don't care if you don't like that, don't understand why I feel that way.  It is a fact.  A fact you've chosen to ignore.  And in ignoring it, have chosen to say "fuck you".
