Title: IT won't run
Post by: celestion on May 11, 2003, 12:01:16 am
 ???
hello
got the IT MP2 file
ran the patch for the mac
put it into my mod folder
opens up in mod option, and I can activate it
when I try to run a campaign or quick mission, GR quits out

not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Can I run IT in OS 9.2?

Also tried to run patch for 1.4 for GR
dialogue box says its already updated, but I've just installed GR
???
thanks

Read in our articles how to upgrade Ghost Recon! Island Thunder always crashes if you don't have upgraded to version 1.4.

Bye,

Mauti

You probably didn't rename the folder correctly. Read the Island Thunder Mac Project thread page 4 or 5 located at the Ghost Recon subforum.

Good luck,

Mauti

 ???
Hello again

Could my problem be that I just moved the installed Mp2 folder from a pc to my mac?
Do I need to extract the files seperately, and place them into the Mp2 folder?
Or could there be something else that I'm not doing wrong.

I've been trying to rename all the files from abreviations to full names
for example
From:C04_SWAMP.MIS

To:    C04_Swamp_Airfield.MIS

I can now see the preview of missions,
but I still cannot play.

thanks allot guys for the help

Hmm usually it doesn't short your names if you move the files from PC to Mac well zip the files on your PC and move it again to your Mac and expand it there. Also make sure that you have renamed all subfolders correctly.

Then run the IT MAc patch.

Hope that helps,

Mauti
ps.: if you don't have upgraded Ghost Recon to version 1.4 IT will always crash.
