I've only actually seen the 30 min ban for chat flooding (I didn't think it would happen in a PM). So I'm just assuming that the longer bans show up the same way.

Asterax, My servers are running on 768kbs/768kbs SDSL now. Seems to be plenty of bandwidth. Not T1, but not bad. I had a business class connection wired up when Comcast started restricting uploads around here. I went with the SDSL because to serve web sites or files I needed the higher upload speeds (all the ADSL and XDSL around here is 1.5Mbs down/128kbs up).
