Hmm i was wondering who was the best RS player. ofcourse we could wait until the 1 vs 1 tournament has enden but we can also do it this way. Which people do you guys Really think that make a change to become the best RS player. Post em here. and its not allowed to post yourself. And then if we got a list of the ppl who are most likely to be the best Rs player. We call in a vote.
And then we can compare the result of this with the result of the 1 vs 1 league. And see if our intuition correct.

My vote would have to go out to either my clanmate |?K| Rapid, or +-KoS-+ Ultimo, both seem to be consistantly killing, and having large inpacts on any games that they join.

I can't really offer a suggestion as I played about 20 games of RS in my life and sucked to bad to know who was good.

 Some of the best RS players ever would have to have been Faus, Grifter?, Ultimo, Mauti, actually a lot of people from FEAR who are just amazing now, and so many more that I can't think of right now.  I'm sure these names will pop up, but lets see in the next 1v1 touny where there shall be a lot more people.  There are obviously a lot of just good players who are getting better like xoclipse and typhy but it is hard to say the absolute best.

I think I got about 3 kills in 20 games of RS and maybe 15 in 30 games of RSD.

 Yea definatley Psyks, I almost forgot my brother. ?It is amazing how good he has gotten, all he does is join games and rape people. ?He has so many 6 or 7 people owning shots it's not even funny. ?I know this because he just leaves them in my hard drive folder for me to put away *sigh* ?Now he just keeps raping people. ?I didn't really think of him because he was newer compared to the people I mentioned, but he may actually be just as good and can be mentioned in the same breath as them. ?I'm sure he is more in practice than any of the players that I mentioned. ?I can say he is almost better than anyone. ?Good point out guys that I missed my little bro. ?I know he can beat almost anyone especially when he is on a team. ?That is why he has such a good clan. ?Several members like him but he may be the best along with NH and BountyHunter. ?I'm surprised Ult said no to him and KoS didn't let him in, or OoA, then they go and let in Rebel's little clanwhore brother so easily, or ViRus while they go and let in Flies ;) sorry guys just had to say that. ?But I guess he's making it on his own now obviously you guys were able to mention him.

Psyks may be getting better, however, in no way should be considered one of the top players, I can make a list of about 100 players better than him easily. I think that after the Tornament is done, we should have a better fix on who is the best.

 Yea Typhy I have to say Psyks didn't do to good in the first 1v1 touny but like I said he does great in the team games which may be more important.  And uhh I would like to see that list please. ;) :)

That list isn't in order of skill or anything, just in order of who I thought of, still you're on it easily.

Two more I would add on to that list would be badboy (100% certified ass kicker) and retaliation (most of you didnt play with RETAL, but he could fucking own).

I am sure there are people I am forgetting (hell, I played this game since the demo came out) but I will try and reach back into my memories and mention your name if you arent already on Typhy's list.

But there are some on the list that I would disagree with...

 Typhy ok but LMAO at some of those.  I really don't care about my brother but oh god.  Mattster and iMat?  His own clanmates, please man I think even they would admit to that.  And Personally, I don't want to start anything at all but In my opinion he is better than most of the people in ak.  I think he is close with rapid and I'm not sure that he isn't as good as you also.  And some of those people I don't know.  Actually a lot like who the heck is Sniper?  How clich?.  You forgot about real people that are better than him like sniper-man and silverblade.  I can name a lot of people that deserve to be on that list and a lot that shouldn't be on.  No offense to mattster or imat though, who are a lot better than me but my bro is better and I think even they will admit it.  But no fights.  I'm just saying some of those people don't belong.  B3 also.  I'm not sure about that...lets continue to debate this and make  a list typhy.  Go on Yahoo tomarrow.

I'm sorry but Oso has to be the best RS player I have ever seen. It's odd because it seems that any game you give oso he owns in it within seconds. I mean im more of a veteran than he is and he still kicks my ass. In games that I would play with him he and I would take out teams of 8 every time. But sadly Oso got bored of the game.

Since it is extremely hard picking out THE BEST player, I would say it's close between the following:

Oso(use to host some good games, currently is a mohaa whore.)
Robert(Anarchy, still active.)
Noal(one of the first KoS members, very talented, inactive.)
Tech N9ne(active)
Zak(needs to work on his attitude, active.)
Grifter(he is up there with the best of the best, wish i played more with him)
And a few people from PsYcO(proper caps?) like RETALIATION and BadBoy.

 I may know Retaliation but who is Badboy?  What is his account number, because there are several Badboy's.

the players i've seen dominate more games then any others:

grifter: wouldn't bother with a screen shot unless it was an 8 or more kill game.  i know, i just deleted a bunch of them.

ultimo: kicks ass almost every time i've ever seen him.

gladiator: hands down, i never saw anyone but grifter beat this guy.  and even then, gladiator would win more often.  he'd go 8 v 1 and win.

Lol! Psyks better than someone in AK! Let me try and stop laughing enough to write this post, Psyks is only a slightly above average player. Kinda funny that you bring this up, yesterday, I was in a game with Mattster, Psyks and Nighthawk, they were doing |U| vs all. Psyks was getting so mad 'cause I was the only one killing him. I killed Psyks 11 games in a row! I started counting after the third one 'cause I thought that it was so funny. iMat, perhaps not Mattster, easily better than Psyks, I will 1v1 Psyks and he can consider himself good if he can get 2 games off of me on a best of 10.

Ok, First of all typhy on your list i can easily own all but 14 of the people on your list and yet i never get reputation some of them have. Secondly, 33 degress  :o typhy, 33 was recruited for "team work" not for skill and i know because he was Hecate before he changed his name (medium player, who did in , infact, work for the team but never had kills). Thirdly, if |U| ever losses they say either "you lag" or you are just booted for God knows what reason, i was owning them every game (psyks and nighthawk) they said i lagged but my ping was 3 green then i got booted. Nh and imat are both good but most of the |U| people whine. Lastly, Ulti would be my pick for the best player, he consistantly gets kills. Oso is definatly second on my list.

Infection: The Badboy who was in PsYcO...he no longer plays RS on the mac side - but he is on the PC side kicking ass again. Retal no longer plays RS either, left to play infiltration or some shit like that.

I see a lot of people playing and these people I see stand out:

1. |?K|*Hitman? - This guy is unstoppable.  He goes in games and owns 5 right away with no problem.  Excellent RS player that came from the PC side.  Glad he's an |?K|.(http://www.fubarclan.org/fubar/forum/images/smiles/2gunsfiring_v1.gifime and have seen him play excellent Rogue Spear forever.  Definately a good, one of the best players out there.  Glad he's an |?K| as well.[img]http://www.fubarclan.org/fubar/forum/images/smiles/ar15.gif)

4. |?K|*MonK* - I have been playing RS with Monk just as long as typhy, if not longer, and even though Monk doesn't play as much as me nor typhy, he still kicks serious ass in games.  He's an excellent Team Player and you can count on the kill for your team when he's the last one alive looking for the last alive enemy.  Real pleasure to play with and again, I'm glad he's an |?K|.(http://www.fubarclan.org/fubar/forum/images/smiles/snipersmilie.gif)


5. +-KoS-+TechN9ne - I been playing lots of RS side by side or against Tech, and he's a good player with good technique. He dances very well and is a smart player.  He knows how to read a situation and how to approach it.  He's not as high of ranked as the others because I personally beat him 6-2 the other night in a 1v1, but Tech is definately more of a Team Player and a good one at it.(http://www.fubarclan.org/fubar/forum/images/smiles/uzi.gif)


There's a lot of good players out there and anything can go anyway at any time due to all this talent.  I am happy to be around such a competitive, positive(it's becoming that way finally) atmosphere surrounded by such good players.  Like the old saying goes: "Out with the old, in with the New"(http://www.fubarclan.org/fubar/forum/images/smiles/2ar15.gif)

These are the comments I always laugh at. ?People making it sound as if others just join and Warp from one part of the map to another and it's their fault! ?Remember, the reason this happens it's because of the Host/Joiner chemistry. ?When it works good, the server can serve anybody that joins with no problem. ?When someone from far away or with a different connection, that's what causes the timeouts. ?So people gotta get off this thing where people just have such connection or computers are so slow that you warp from one side to the other being used in a strategic manner!

Nah, the best rs players I have seen are the following (and not in order of importance):

Grifter- great consistently
Ultimo- very consistent in kills
Alex (former KoS)- was talented
BB- Most definetly
Rebel- is getting there, mb even better than me now
Dest- has the great spots all checked out, thnx to me  :o

There are definetly a few others in my book, like EJ, etc, but I dont want to think I have a headache now.....

ps. No offense, but who is this Pskys guy, I never saw or heard of him and Dest vouched for him, that must mean he is good.  Is he independant?

I've been playing a year on my 61290 account, 3 weeks with IP joining, and 5 months before that on another account, that I can't speak of.

uh.. i would say... civeron, that guy can own any one with just his pistols, and when kyoudan use to play, that guy had a shot that couldnt be matched.

THere are only two people the deserved the title of best RS player. Sad to say both of them will not play a single gfame of RS again. No one in AK deservers it sorry just because they talk so much shit and are above average players. KoS would (and always does) destroy AK. The two people that are the best RS players that existed were Ultimo and Grifter. Id usually catch grif on  a bad day and whoop up on him but oh well. I dont deserve the title cause i do not have the dedication of most people and ive only been playing RS for about 2 years. Thats not long. Btw to define a "noob" for everyone.

The best rs players ive ever known were bb,grif,and sin.Sin taught me most of what i know and he could get 6-7 kills with a shotty.Myself i wouldnt count as one of the best rs players.I complain to much and im not as frequent as other rs players.Although,i am a good team player.Sin,i have a question:Can i join PsYcO over at the zone?(im on a pc half the time)

First off, my post of the 50 players, wasn't the 50 best, it was just the first 50 that I thought of who were better than Psyks, - Don't I wish that I at least had a buddy list, gosh I miss GameRanger, Silverblade, Virus has many good players, I play with them much less, because I try and avoid the Europeans, when you IP join from Juneau Alaska, you try and get the host that is closest to you, thats why I didn't think of you guys. Well, i havent posted my opinion. i dont agree with all of typhy's top whatever he named. some of those arent as good as psyks. I personaly think psyks is NOT the best, but HIGH up there. If he was the best, we would have beaten KoS. lol, gg KoS.  BH is better than me and psyks, cobra is damn good surprised no one mentioned him. Im not quite sure if there IS a best.  it might depend map, and or a better team player. 1 vs 1 dont mean nothing, u can outsmart 1 person, but if u out smart one person in team play, theres a person waiting right there.  there isnt really a best paly, psyks however is one of the best team players.  BH is more 1 vs 1, and i jsut liek to have fun.  KoS i would say has the best team play, they practice and stuff. however they need to try a dif map then blue on depot.  I bet theyd still beat us tho.  There are so many good palyers out there. And plz excuse my spelling, im too lazy to check it over.

Owning newbies is nothing, I can go join a regular game with 14 people in it, and count on, if I play 10 games, getting at least one with 6 or more kills. Who cares? What matters is owning against good players.

Okay I'm sorry but OoA Robert has lost my vote for being a good player. Yes he does own his games are terrible. The games take up almost  to 10 mins because Rob camps in the worst place where no one goes to check. So I'm sorry no good RS player camps with C4 every game.

Forgive me if i'm wrong, but i've seen NH get a 7 kill game... wouldn't that put him above 99?? also, i've seen psyks get 6 kills, all pistols tho, and mattster said he's gotten 7... i guess they have been doing this for ownage pics on their site but it's pretty damned good...

Pat that game had to be filled with n00bs when I got that six kill. Because it was my first game since i got home from vacation lol. So i wouldnt really count that as a good ownage but let me recheck the ss maybe there were some good people in it. :-[

Bah okay C4 is making me mad. Everytime I play a game now someone always seems to have c4. In this one game I saw a C4 by a door so i shot it. Went inside and a second c4 was ready for me. I say down with all you C4 campers.

just because someone can own 7 doens't mean they are leet :).
i mean i got 5, 7 kill owns, and 2, 8 kill owns, and i'm not mentioned here >:(.
shite 1 of the 7 kill owns was a 1v7 with pistols.

Deathshadow was perhaps the only full tactic that we taught you, however, many teamwork tactics, prefire with the G36K you used to use, when to use what etc, you learned that from us.

I find this funny when u say Night Hawk is better then you and i can own him not saying he can't kill me sometimes but? i am better. Actually mattster no. 1st of all i am the worst 1v1 on gr second of all ive never 1v1 you and third of all if u read back ppl will say i suck 1v1 but am one of the best team players. ur good but not one of the best.

psyks is pretty bad at 1v1s... but he is a good player, i'd say he is better than matt definatly.
I'm reasonalbly good at 1v1s, and against good players like tech, reaper, pyrex, psysks and so on...

Its funny that most of the players mentioned have FAST connections, which of course gives them an advantage.
ToonmaN lived in Alaska and didn't have access to cable so his whole RS life he played on a 56k connection !!! and still blew away most of the players mentioned on there cable and dsl connections.
 We fought together for a very long time, (we were a combanation that was VERY hard to beat) and he never failed to amaze me with the calibar of the people he blew away.

i would have to say the best player in RS is not necessarily the best player of kills, but the best to play with. Some people play just to kill people....kill...kill, and kill untill they are beyond bored, but others play every game to the fullest, and have a damned great time doin it:

I believe the original question was meaning who is who the best (current) rs player is (not was, even though he said was). Everyone keeps talking about the past, people who used to play. I realize I'm an RS noob, so I don't know these people. I never saw Grift play except maybe once, I never heard of gladiator or noal. It just seems to me the question of who IS the best rs player relates best to all of us, because, how would it be phrased as "was" relate to us at all?

There is none. People who are great are even. I never have seen Ulti play, most of the people named barely play. There's no way you can say one person is the greatest. If you split up fields to like "camping" "rushing" "sniping" then I could answer. Not enough information is provided though.

P.S. Ejo and Jeb would both be pretty damn good if they learned to rush better then they do.

Had to add in "better then they do", as, otherwise, it's an insult.

When we cleaned off Grifter's computers, we found some old screen shots of his (most of them were from a year ago).  He had a bunch of 8 kill games in there.  He even had one survival screenshot that had 13kills (it was a 14 player game).  There were some clan tags in there, so I'll assume that they weren't all newbies (SPEAR, CIA and FEAR were three of them if I'm remembering right).  Grifter didn't blow his own horn too often, but from playing with him for a few years, and seeing some of those old screen shots, one things for sure, if he wasn't the best at RS around here, then he was on the very short list.
