Title: Re:having trouble with mods Post by: spenny on February 16, 2003, 04:05:52 pm they were all downloaded thru the *damn downloads section, (gamespy). nothing ported by me
Title: Re:having trouble with mods Post by: *DAMN Mauti on February 17, 2003, 09:53:30 am Hmmm they should run fine even on my old iMac I can play them. They all require much RAM so make sure that you allcolate at least 200MB RAM to Ghost Recon in MacOS9.
At all I can't imagine what's wrong. Please try the Postcards from Peru. Start a new single player campaign(Postcards). And try to start it. If it crashes please open your ike.log at your Ghost Recon folder and post the content here. Regards, Mauti Title: Re:having trouble with mods Post by: spenny on February 17, 2003, 02:32:05 pm Mauti,
first, thanks for all your work keeping this site running, you have added a lot to the fun ive had with R6/RS and now GR. i never had any problems like this with RS, which is why i am so confused. first, i have GR assigned 800 mb of ram, should probably be enough :) i opened GR, deactivated all the modes except desert srige, activated peru, quit and relaunched GR, this time it let me start the mission, but eventually quit and crashed. that's the longest that its stayed up, tho. here's the log: ***** User's system configuration ***** CPU: 268 RAM: 896 MB O/S: 2338 Ghost Recon (RELEASE) version = 1.4.0.0(0) HAL (hw vp): : Mac OS A1R5G5B5 RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb Cannot read ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file lighthalo_effect3.rsb Cannot read lighthalo_effect3.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file .rsb Cannot read .rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file jp_unlockedheroes.xml RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file \mods\postcards\save\game\peru.csf_bin SOUND: Cannot Find: P01_briefing.wav Loading map \mods\origmiss\map\mp05_docks\mp05_docks.map RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file .rsb Cannot read .rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file pow_jeepd0.anm RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file desert_m35_truckd0.anm RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file pickup_truckd0.anm RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file juherethat.aif Timer Sound playing on restart Timer Sound playing on restart -*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*- i then tried the same activate/quit/relaunch with caribbean missile crisis. it quit before i got to the game play here's that log: ***** User's system configuration ***** CPU: 268 RAM: 896 MB O/S: 2338 Ghost Recon (RELEASE) version = 1.4.0.0(0) HAL (hw vp): : Mac OS A1R5G5B5 RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb Cannot read ike_fx_fire_type2.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file lighthalo_effect3.rsb Cannot read lighthalo_effect3.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file .rsb Cannot read .rsb RSGameStateMgr::ProcessMessage() duplicate state change request SOUND: Cannot Find: P01_briefing.wav Loading map \mods\cmc\map\p01_caribbean_island\p01_caribbean_island.map RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file p01_ground_mapdmp01_caribbean_island.rsb Cannot read p01_ground_mapdmp01_caribbean_island.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file darkmap0p01_caribbean_island.rsb Cannot read darkmap0p01_caribbean_island.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file darkmap1p01_caribbean_island.rsb Cannot read darkmap1p01_caribbean_island.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file darkmap2p01_caribbean_island.rsb Cannot read darkmap2p01_caribbean_island.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file darkmap3p01_caribbean_island.rsb Cannot read darkmap3p01_caribbean_island.rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file .rsb Cannot read .rsb RSFILEDATA: FindFile could not find file m hussein mohamed al-nasser.atr any help is greatly appreciated thanks, spenny Title: Re:having trouble with mods Post by: bloodanguts on March 02, 2003, 09:33:34 pm Same thing happens for me with the Dangerous Babes mod.
I'm patched, and most of my mods work fine. But the game quits when i start the mission (going into the briefing screen). It does it on my G3 in Os9, and my G4 in OsX Title: Re:having trouble with mods Post by: *DAMN Mauti on March 02, 2003, 11:31:55 pm Hmmm strange things are going on here. Well I never tried CMC or dangerousbabes after I updated to version 1.4.
I just tried it and same issue with the dangerous babes mod. I just looked at some PC websites and it is also an issue there. Maybe some script commands are no longer valid with patch 1.4. Sorry about that but I can't do anything against it. The only thing you could do is to have a second GR app with version 1.2 and trade it if you want to play some mods that doesn't work. Bye, Mauti |
