1. immediately you accuse me of calling you "pop-punk", yet i don't even know what genre your band is. i think my comment can apply to pretty much any genre. 2. then you make further extrapolations about pop-punk, a genre which i dont care about and didnt accuse you of being in. besides, other bands in other genres besides pop-punk dye their hair, and it doesnt really have anything to do with the music? which was the whole point of my post, that the music should be the attention-getter of a band and not the appearances of the band members? because whether it is your intent or not, your hair, when dyed an unnatural color, will garner attention away from your band. 3. i never accused you of trying too hard to be punk. once again, i dont even know what genre your band is. 4. its fine if you are bored of having brown hair? but how is dying it going to alleviate your boredom? you can't exactly see your own hair? not to mention, staring at hair has never been that exciting of an activity anyway. or maybe you are referring to the actual act of dying hair, which i don't think sounds very fun? but hey, whatever floats your boat. 5. on an unrelated note, i think i know plenty about the subject? after all i just read the book Our Band Could be Your Life: Scenes from the Punk Underground. 6. good luck at your band's show :) once again watch out for question marks, safari still seems to insert them randomly Title: Re:Dying Post by: Bondo on January 16, 2003, 03:02:05 am Hehe, I just dyed my hair for my birthday. First step was a peroxide based dye that left my golden brown hair looking chick yellow (chick as in baby chicken)...the typical result of trying to go from too dark...one solution would have been to keep going with peroxide but I choose a different route going with a non-bleach dye for a normal blonde type and it left my hair with a more gold/brown tinged whitish blonde...looks superb :D
