Title: EMR Post by: Ejl2001@ Night Class on November 27, 2002, 02:01:29 am castle conquest again in april (i THINK) at EMR....
anyone comin? ;) ive got a shoulder strap for my spyder and im gonna ask this guy i know who works with metal to help me get a mount for my bigass' mag lite! Title: Re:EMR Post by: Whisper_44 on November 27, 2002, 02:17:09 am Elj, why not go for a smaller light?
Just curious.. ;D Title: Re:EMR Post by: Ejl2001@Bed Soon on November 27, 2002, 07:48:30 am smaller mag lites dont help me much and besides:
A) makes me feel badass B) Makes my GUN look badass C) It blinds the daylights outta people ;D Title: Re:EMR Post by: Whisper_44 on November 27, 2002, 01:12:50 pm maybe a surefire?
hehe I'm just going to play devils advocate on this one? Title: Re:EMR Post by: Cocobolo on November 27, 2002, 03:55:22 pm I've got a maglite (although it's nowhere near as big as the one I saw on EJ's gun) mounted on my Minimag (paintgun) also, I wouldn't mind using a surefire xenon light or something like it, but those things are hundreds of dollars for the weapon mounted ones. Maybe an airsoft knock off would work, but they aren't as powerful as the real ones, and really it's function over form in those night games;)
Title: Re:EMR Post by: WardenMac on November 27, 2002, 11:30:19 pm get ya a backpack and a 1,000,000 candlewatt spotlight. With all that extra room in the backpack, you could put about a 12 pack in there. ;D
Title: Re:EMR Post by: Cocobolo on November 29, 2002, 11:37:45 pm Only thing is, it's hard to drink beer from the bottle with a paintball mask on, lol.... That's what the camelback is for, heh heh..
Title: Re:EMR Post by: WardenMac on November 30, 2002, 03:35:00 am Mask? Are you saying your gonna get smoked in the head? Cmon, where's your priorities? Mask and no beer or no mask, lots of beer and possible loss of sight for life. Go with the beer ;D LMAO
Title: Re:EMR Post by: {E}LuSiVe on November 30, 2002, 05:51:30 am i just got a digital video camera for about $129.00.... its about as tall as a toothpick! its coming on the field with me! of course, knowing the intensity of castle conquest, i'll keep it away so as to avoid its potential destruction...... either way i can upload stuff as .avi's!
coming coco? 8) Title: Re:EMR Post by: Cocobolo on December 01, 2002, 10:50:23 pm Hell yeah man!
Title: Re:EMR Post by: Whisper_44 on December 02, 2002, 04:19:29 am Load em up Elj, I'd love to see it up close, short of being there....
I like the idea of beer & camelback, I'm going to have to use that one come snoski season... I can't wait lol... Title: Re:EMR Post by: {E}LuSiVe on December 04, 2002, 08:21:43 am how does one go about attaching a dv camera about 3x2x1 inches big to a Spyder TL paintball gun in a way that will ensure it's protection? i need to encase it somehow....
Title: Re:EMR Post by: Whisper_44 on December 04, 2002, 02:06:31 pm lexan cover and zip ties!!!!!!!!

Title: Re:EMR Post by: {E}LuSiVe on December 07, 2002, 05:10:35 am i electrical-taped it to my gun just below the mag lite, to the left of the forward grip (pretty much right onto it)... ive got tape reinforcing it from the bottom of the cam to the foregrip, top of cam over mag-lite, side of cam over front of cam and onto foregrip (had to cut a hole for the mic part of the DV cam) and the fourth placement of e-tape is from the back of the cam to the foregrip. basically the [slightly large] mag lite was a major part of the mounting. now i gotta hope to G-D that it doesnt get shot, even though the way i have it, it should be pretty secure. the electrical tape is UNDER the screen-flap so i can actually use the screen, even tho i will have it folded closed most of the time... keep in mind the camera is about an inch wide and 2 inches long, 3 inches tall IF that... itty bitty.
and it looks SWEET! lemme put it this way: think of what it would look like if coco did a paintball guns mod........ a light and a mini-camera, good lord.... Title: Re:EMR Post by: Whisper_44 on December 07, 2002, 04:57:19 pm You let me know when I can download some videos? I'd love to see them, any chance you can post a picture of your "monster"?
:-[ :-[ :-[ Title: Re:EMR Post by: {E}LuSiVe on December 08, 2002, 07:25:18 am sure man will do..... coco will get the avi's first and after that i'll figure out how to present them to other people ... im not 100% sure elited will load it all up on the site for me (128 meg CV mem card, um, hell no they wont). about the pic.... yeah i'll see what i can do... i feel like a modder, lol 8)
