I have been using a Red font since forever and its not necessary to use Red for editing. Why can't you use a color like brown which is not used by a lot of people. Or for an Edit you could write something like this:

EDIT: Blah blah blah -Moderator

I don't see why this has to be in Red. I have always seen the edits by moderators no matter what color they are in. Or why cant you just bold it?

I believe the anti-red usage is a policy only used by AssAss, which hopefully will not continue.  Purple was removed out of respect for Grifter, and green might be if Brain ever died.  And perhaps you'd all remove black if I died  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/icon_lol.gif)

Hazard, you'd think that them asking you not to use it would be enough.

The admins want to use red for their messages so that they stand out, what's the earth shattering big deal in that?

And before I hear "then they should make it unavailable for us to use", I want you to show me how that's possible in YABBSE.  Even if they could do it, it's not a very good excuse for why you have to use red.

Hell, use purple.  Nobody uses that because of Grifter, but he wouldn't care.  He only chose it because it was a color that nobody else would use.  His favorite color was GREEN btw.  Purple just turned into his default because of his posting so much.  If you go back to some of his very old posts (Mauti has them all, I checked them out), He used different colors before purple.  

So Hazard, just pick something other then Red.  You don't need to be one of the guys that just bucks authority because it's there.  We have enough of those already.

1.  Lol. . .Mauti removed purple from the list of color choices, but I guess if you put in in the YABB code it still works.  I think I'll try some others then, see if they work too. . .

As for using red, I would personally prefer that other people do not use red. That has been the mod color for a very long time, and it has created some consistency so people notice what is the work of mods and what isn't.

You still want proof?  I had been using the same user name/password combination at macclans where Grifter would be able to see it and then suddenly after a spat with him my account is deleted.  It doesn't take a moron to figure out.

Well, since we can't read passwords on the forums, as Mauti will confirm with YABB here too, it would have been hard for him to get it.  All we can do is change your password.  We can't see what it is.  They are encrypted, even to us.  I'll show you a screenshot of the admin space if you don't believe that.

Why take it personally?  Seeing as he was a lifelong friend of Deadeye's (they were friends longer then you have drawn breath), I'd say he's more then justified in finding that offensive.  I find it offensive, and I was never as close as Deadeye was.  You have shown again that you are a no class asshole Bondo.

 Well, I seriously think that Grifter did delete Bondo's account. Not that there is really anything wrong with that in my opinion since if I had Bondo's password, I might have done the same thing just for the hell of it. ;) I think that Bondo brings up a good point when he says that just beacuse someone died doesn't make them god. We all understand that Grifter was a great person, but he had his things that he did wrong, and its not disrespectful to point out that he did things that were wrong as well as many that we were right. If we're just going to ignore anything that he has done wrong, then we really shouldn't even talk about him.

Bondo, there is a big difference between talking about something he did for a fact, and accusing him of something with ZERO proof.  Like I said, I can show you a screen shot of the admin area of MacClans.  You can see that he could not get your password from there.  As a matter of fact, here they are:

You'll notice that it gives a spot to change your password, but not to actually see it.  That is all there is.

Umm, Brain, wouldn't Bondo's attack on Grifter be the first personal attack here.  Suspicion or not, it's only his opinion.  Posting it here is wrong, plain and simple.  It would be like me posting about that result on Bondo's HIV test coming back positive?  I mean, it's a valid suspicion.

Honestly, I don't care.  I firmly believe that Bondo owes a big ass apology.  Warn me, ban me.  It's the truth.  I proved his claim to be a lie, his proof doesn't exist, so he starts pulling "moderator" on us.  Bullshit.  If that's what this forum comes to, ban me.  Because if that's the case, I'll be better off without it.  What hapened to that higher standard that he talked about?  Oh, guess it doesn't apply to him.

Well, there are a few things that need to be addressed.

First, regarding Brain. Nobody should be getting on his case. He has been trying to do his job as a moderator with fairness and impartiality. He never threatened any bans, he just warned you guys about this thread escalating so as to try and bring some semblance of order. Frankly, I commend him. He acted better than I did.

Second, regarding what basically has become a McCoy/Hatfield deal with Bucc and Deadeye on one side and Bondo on the other, figuring out what to do is difficult. I think there needs to be some resolution to this, but right now in this situation nothing productive will come up. I am going to lock the thread with the proposal that the three of you may continue discussing the matter in the Black Ops in a halfway civil manner. If you want, I could move this thread there, but we can't have this keep going on here.
