Upstairs here, I have my Powerbook G4, a mouse with a pad my left, a container filled with CDs, a printer, and headphones, the AC adapter with all the other cords run behind my desk, I will take a picture later. Downstairs, I have the 867g4, 2 monitors, 17 and 19 inches, a slide scanner, an flat bed scanner, a printer, external CDRW drive, mouse & pad, and then a wires going everywhere connecting everything, as well as connecting the sound to the speakers throughout the room. I will take a picture of both later and post it here.

Post by: tasty on November 01, 2002, 04:52:22 am picture a 14 inch iBook on a crappy metal desk against a wall, with books/cd cases stacked against either side. on the left is a lamp, headphones, a phone, and a whole bunch of papers. on the right is a bunch of pop, gatorade, and beer cans. in front is my cordless optical mouse and my keyboard that i stole from a first generation iMac. oh and there is a coffeepot next to the comp on the right side too. it is really all pretty tacky and messy. dont have a digital camera, so your imaginations will have do for now. 8)

i'm not the one with the pink imac, my setup is, digital audio G4, dual monitors, lacie 48x cdrw, printer, Denon shelf receiver and 2 mission audio speakers. then a 7600 running a combination of os9 and mandrake linux. Upstairs there is a 700mhz imac with isub, and a 800mhz p3 dell all running on a lan. Whenever the new power4s come out i'll have one of those, with the g4 working as a media server for all my mp3s and divxs on the lan. Title: Re:Whats your work/gaming station look like??? Post by: Shade on November 01, 2002, 11:27:10 pm My desktop is a cube... and Its on a white desk that makes an L around my comp room... which has white walls. all in all the room looks pretty sterile If you get past the mess my sisters and I have made and I wonder why I cant find any of my games
Title: Re:Whats your work/gaming station look like??? Post by: Deadeye on November 02, 2002, 01:27:15 am then a 7600 running a combination of os9 and mandrake linux. i didn't know that mandrake linux ran on a powerpc?? i thought yellowdog was the only linux that actually ran on it. or are you running it under virtual pc? Title: Re:Whats your work/gaming station look like??? Post by: Jeb on November 02, 2002, 01:49:50 am i acaully made a noob typo when i was typing that, i was checking out mandrake in a tab at the time of the post, and i meant to type debian.
But yes, mandrake runs on ppc http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/ftptmp/1036197120.79bbbe361b24cf70098e7a54719b4508.php (http://www.linux-mandrake.com/en/ftptmp/1036197120.79bbbe361b24cf70098e7a54719b4508.php) as for debian, it is a stupid bitch when it comes to getting it to work correctly. I'm not sure if redhat is downloadable, if it was i would get it Title: Re:Whats your work/gaming station look like??? YDL (aka RH), Debian, Mandrake, and SuSe are all PPC distros. Those are the only major ones to my knowledge. Title: Re:Whats your work/gaming station look like???
