Title: Paul Wellstone is DEAD Post by: alaric on October 25, 2002, 09:31:20 pm This morning, about 10:22am central time, Paul Wellstone died in a plane crash on the way to a funeral in Northern Minnesota. As a Minnesotan myself, I am deeply saddend by this tragedy. Wellstone was a good man and he was the guy I was planning to vote for, so this really sucks. He was one of the only political leaders who actually worked for the people and not himself. He fought for issues and ideas not for any political party. This is bad bad bad bad bad bad.....

Lets pull together some Mel Carnahan shit at the very least, maybe his wife or his friend or someone will run in his name and keep the tradition of Paul Wellstone's admirable legacy alive.

I was and am voting for Coleman since Im a republican. Kinda ironic how he died so close to the election.

Whoever made teh Carnahan reference, it won't be like that and the Minnesota Democrats will have to select a new person for the ballot. |
