Can someone tell my why Jaguar does not install the DVD Player on my G3, ok u dont really need to tell me why, better tell me how i can this get installed on the G3 and how i can get this wotking after it is installed! Maybe i am to stupid to find it - but i searched for it on all HDs i had: nothing. PLZ i need the help ! If u can help me, or if dont excactly know the solution, then plz gimmy an URL where i can find the solution for my problem. Thy all! lolz Title: Re:need help with DVD and g3 b&w Post by: Ace on October 16, 2002, 02:23:24 am In your Applications folder you should see an application called "DVD Player". I'm pretty sure this is a standard part of the install. If you don't find it there, go to the terminal and type:
find / -name DVD\ Player.app If it somehow is installed elsewhere on your drive this will show you the filepath. You could also try popping in a DVD and seeing if the app opens automatically. thy for the tip, but its not installed! maybe it is not standart install! Maybe MacX look for CPU and MAc type and then decide which components will be installed?! B/c normaly Apple sais that my G3 cant run DVD without a Hardware Decorder but this is bulshit b/c on OS 9 i cracked the player and it worked without any probs! Now i have a Radeon 7000 and this shoud make it too.
