just reading a bit of the rules, seems the same as when I used to play so long ago =]

a suggestion: why not use the system 3/5 2/3 or 3/5 3/5
the first being the score on a particular map and the second being the score of how many maps won.. It is a very effective system =]

you would play , say, 5 battles on one map, who ever wins  the most 'skirmishes', wins that map, then whoever wins the most maps wins?

Here is my suggestion. Make TASK clan first place for eternity and then I want everyone to bow to Cossack. Also I would like a requirment to be in the BL to buy a paintball gun for Cossack. Cossack likes talking about himslef in third person.

Yes Brain, you have the right idea of what he is suggesting.  I don't think it would be an improvement.  That system doesn't really allow for equal hosting.  That is a system that works much better with neutral hosts, and on tournements where you could give a clan the host advantage (like how the Red Wings for example get to play an extra game at home during the finals).

I was wondering, when it says the time that someone posted something, is it the time zone my computer is set for? Or is it the time zone that the writer is in, cause if it's #2, Bondo..get some sleep.

it could work for equal hosts bondo
they would just have to play, say, 10 maps, 5 on one host, 5 on another(just replace the word battle with map in the bl rules)
to save on time, the battles for the maps couls simply be best of(since only maps one will count to the score
it could be adapted to work for the blvery well with minimal effort
i think we should at least give it a close look

looking over this system, i dont see how it would solve ant problems that occured with the current system, so that is a black mark against it...

Brain, the thing is, this system that he proposed isn't exactly revolutionary, it has been tried (not in our BL but in competition) before.  Also, the match format isn't something that has been complained about to my knowledge and like they say, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

 I normally don't watch soccer on t.v. but for some reason I turned on the U.S. vs Portugal and watched the end.  Also I saw on ESPN they tied South Korea 1-1 today.  I know if they won they are in the second round but are they now witha tie?

Also on a more on topic idea wouldn't it be cool if clans had to download a mod so they could all have specific uniforms?  Even a home color and away color.  Just a cool idea that I was talking about with Wombat today.

Yes, with a win or tie, US advances (their final game is against the worst team in the group).  Also, if they lose they can still advance if S. Korea wins or if Portugal wins by a large enough margin to give the US a goal differential advantage over S. Korea.
