Title: Wow, I didnt know how much 56k sucked... Post by: .vooDoo. on September 09, 2002, 04:21:24 pm I moved over labor day weekend and as a result lost my cable. Ive had to use my internal modem for the last few days and let me tell ya, i suck at rs. I cant get over 1 kill. I now have a new respect for people who can actually play with a modem, cause I cant and wont. Cable comes on Wednesday, vOOt wOOt and tOOt, and once again i will be blazing fast. I finally got cable a couple months ago. Big difference, isn't it? I mean, on cable you don't time out every 3 seconds!!! Whooo... It's so great :)

I used to play Ares a lot when that was the hottest thing. Never could master it with all the timeouts. But now that I'm a cable whore everything has changed. No more timeouts, lag, or mysterious map jumps. Whoever has 56k should invest in a cable modem. You'll love the change. Duh, prefire???, um...whats that, Duh.... how do you think we beat you guys Beast, lots of prefireing. Anyways, if anything, useing my dial modem for the past week made me a better player, but yes, those mysterious map jumps are very annoying. Peak run then strafe out shooting the spot... and hbs being you're best friend... Ahhh those were the days... Now that I'm cable HBS isn't used on certain maps... (KH2SD)(I rush the catwalk... Really no point) and... Prefire... Whats the point... I could stand still and kill a 56ker who's strafing and prefiring all they have... So sad Ben |
