*DAMN R6 Forum

Just a little complaint out to some of the mods...  There are a few threads that you guy's have been locking calling it spam.  I mean one's like the stupid poll's that come up are fine to lock, but there have been other threads that have delt with more serious issues and you guy's lock them, which is starting to piss me off.  

I really don't feel like going back through the thread's to find one's you have locked and called spam.  A few other's in the community I know have felt the same way.  Learn how to run a forum guys, please.

Alright Viper...lets take a lookie at the last few threads that I have locked and I will give you explanations for me locking them.

I just got banned! (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=2344) We don't need another thread about some retard proclaiming that he was banned for pirating. If you are dumb enough not to realize that saying what he did wouldn't get you banned, then you got problems.

Eighteen thousand posts. (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/index.php?board=1;action=display;threadid=2327) Last thing we need is a reminder of how much spam all of hte newbies who have joined the forum have generated...and hell, it isnt even a milestong like say 20,000 or 25,000 posts would be.

This was turning into a bitchfest between Brain, Typhy and others and had gotten to the point where they weren't even talking about the topic anymore.

SO Viper...if I am pissing you off by locking these threads, I guess you get pissed by just about anything. Sorry if this response pisses you off, lol.

I definately agree with sin on the first thread he locked, I have only locked extremely off topic threads Viper, ones that start out good, but then just changed, Mauti hired some new mods in a time of crisis when spam was unbelievable and now we are running the forums and shutting some people up.  It isn't fair for you to tell us this, several times we've heard this from people in different threads, we are just doing our jobs, controlling the overload of spam that there has been and keeping some peace in the forums by getting spammers out.  Please don't complain about us, if you don't think we are doing our jobs well, ask Mauti.  If he tells me to do something different, I will.

but some of the mods do tend to lock stuff they are a little touchy about. they claiming its spam when really they just want it to settle to the bottom

So, which mod are you referring to again? I dont want to hear arguments or statements unless you can put a name behind it.

I agree it turned into a  (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/banana.gif) spam but I was waiting for some [R] members to explain some ????  >:(

i think i did, for the exact reason you just stated. it became banana spam

i'mprobably alittle motr liberal about locking threads, but when i do, it's always for a good reason, and i almos always post that reason at the bottom

Well thx for reply mod's.  There have been a few thread's such as the recent 3rd person one that was locked for being a duplicate.... Like anyone is going to go back 3 pages to find the old one.  New thread's of the same topic do come up.  

Just please watch what you lock, this isn't a locking contest you know.
