Here is my response to that review.
Weapon Stats: Some of the weapons use a laser sight, therefore no reticule bloom (where the laser is pointing is where the round goes. Simple)
All of the weapon stats were made from the Weapon Generator on CK's site. This generator was reportedly the same one used by RSE to make the weapon stats for the R6 series of games. Some of the weapons were "tweaked" like the HK 21 and 23 because the generator does not give accurate stats for these machine guns. Being a former Infantry NCO in the US Army, I have fired machine guns of all types and they are much more accurate than in RS or any of the later games.

As far as no new models, well I cannot afford 3DSMAX, and I refuse to steal other modders work. When you have a lot of weapons you would have to get permission from several different modders to use their models and its not really worth the time.

When it comes to the sounds all of the sounds were taken from the original sound files of R6, RS and CO. No need really to use different sounds.

I know some people have said I used weapon images from other mods, but this is not true. All of the images were found on the internet from HKPRO and other sites and then brought into Photoshop 5 and redone to make the images you see.

Please don't take this as whinning :( because I am proud of the work put into this mod and there is no real forum for a response to a Mod review.

Well, I went back and checked all the stats for the weapons to ensure there were no problems, and guess what. All of the G36 models had problems with the stats. It seems when I was fooling around with making a different reticule for the G36 I left the stats in an altered state. This has been corrected and when the patch is released it will be fixed. As far as the other weapons, they are right on the money.

I am a retired Senior Non-Commissioned Officer from the US Army. Gave them 20 years and 25 days. I'm no true to life civilian. I spent the best 20 years of my life training with weapons of war all over the world and using them in combat on 3 different occassions.

Hey the folks over at RSD are entitled to their opinion. Don't let it get you down. I make it a point to dl and try every possible mod out there. I like this mod!! You guys did a DAMN fine job with. I have shit canned more of them then I care to mention. THIS MOD STAYS ON MY MACHINE!!!

Don't stick your head in a hole over one fairly dissatified reviewer.

Well, I appreciate that. I'm not really dissappointed in the review it actully did fairly well. I just don't like the fact that the author(s) of the mods can not give their rebuttle. I actualy agree with them on the 3d model point. I would love to put 3d models of all the weapons in the mod. Just aint gonna happen. As far as the uniforms go...:) I have yet to see better on any mod, and they even look better in multiplayer. I think this isone of the better mods out there of course I am biased:)

I dunno, when I read the review I saw some errors but the overall score was not bad. The review said the uniforms had low detail, that got me laughing. It said there were big red HK logos on the helmets, not true... As for the weapons stats, I dunno I didn't work on that part, but from playing it everything seems very smooth. There aren't really any Superweapons, and yeah, there's no bloom on the laser sight because when you aim a laser sighted weapon you know instantly exactly where it's pointed. I suggested a weapon "slightly outside the realm of reality"(heh heh, .50 cal UMP w/drum mag, had to try), and Cobra was having none of it so I know he's keeping it authentic..!;)
I sent a thank you mail for the review regardless, any publicity is good publicity. Hell, there's a download link right on the review so I can't complain. The place this mod really shines is in MP in my opinion, although my MP experience is limited to my LAN (need cable!)..

Either way, we're well over 1250 downloads in 3 days, we must've done something right!

Hi, what the hell, when I have read through the review I could only shake my head. Huge HK logos on the helmets??? Low detail uniforms??? ?RSD were you stoned when you wrote this review??? You can't post such untrue things, can you??? I always thought you guys are taking your job seriously but nah your review about the skins is only a joke. Cocobolo did the best skins ever and you seriously write that ?these skins have low details - everything is black. Huhuh are you blind??? - Seems so!!! I have never seen such high face and uniform details in a game. Not by RedStorm nor by someone else. Read my DTD Review in the DTD Special: Heckler&Koch International Training D thread look at the picture and then come back and tell me that there is a HUGE HK logo on the helmet and that the face has low details, grrrr.

About the weapons: RSD is right there are some superweaps for example the caseless HK has perfect aim with its laser pointer reticule: you can shoot full automatic running zoomed in and nevertheless ?your bullets hit exactly where your crosshair aims at. - However that's fun as the whole mod is or could you imagine to play multiplayer clanbattles where both teams wear black uniforms? - I can't so this mod is only for single player and for fun orientated multiplayer ?games(that doesn't mean clanbattles aren't fun but they are very fussy about such issues)

However the rating at all isn't so bad but to write untrue things, RSD, is very unprofessional. Blame on you!
