Had my first hard crash to desktop. I cut and pasted the suspect cause below. R6FILENAME: FindFile could not find file pw_umpaces_inv_lowres.rsb INVENTORY: Error loading item action bitmaps R6FILENAME: FindFile could not find file sw_p710_inv_lowres.rsb INVENTORY: Error loading item action bitmaps I could not find these files in the mod bitmap folder. All I did was activate your sniper mod, covert ops, and deadlocks tracers, along with the HK mod. It was a wierd crash though it went to a black screen with a green sectional bar at the top. It was really odd.

I don't know, I usually have about 5 mods active and no crashes, that UMP is like my favorite so it gets play, I also usually give everybody something different...None of the images in the bitmap folder are the lo-res type, RS doesn't seem to use them if the detail settings are high, which everybody uses. Strange error. It's a big mod and sometimes other mods can make things glitchy, but I will get on it immediately and try to reproduce the problem. Yikes! Mod is scheduled for release this evening! ???

Post by: Cocobolo on May 18, 2001, 02:38:31 pm Thanks man you lit a fire under me back in Feb, I hope you feel like we stayed true to the concept, although I added the new uni's which really have nothing to do with the ITD I tried to incorporate them as "training", ya know. I hope we have struck a good balance. I am happy with the weps and everything Cobra has done is gold. I really learned a lot on this, I lov this modding stuff because it forces me to learn these complicated-ass applications like 3D studio and Photoshop.
I will release the final tonight, and while you all have fun with it I'm gonna sleep for like 4 days straight! ;) Title: Re: Crash Alert!!! You stayed true to your course while adding another flavor to the game.
I'm glad I was able to contribute in some small way. You release the final and rest my friend. You've earned it!! PS - Let me know when the final patch is released. I'll just need the patch no the whole mod. Again thanks for everything ;) |
