Here's an interesting little tidbit for you conspiracy theory freaks...

I booted in OS 9 for the first time since MOH came out.. and played RS for the first time in about a month.  I joined a game, and got schooled.  I mean bad.  Ok, I'm rusty... I can get my ass kicked a little.  I'll warm back up...

Nope, I go 12 games, I don't even get a hit.  I mean I'm at 0% every single game.

I play on a different host... same result.

Ok, time to go play some lone wolf and warm the hell back up before I really make an ass of myself and ruin all the myths of my skills.

I start up a custome mission... 0%.  I walk up behind a guy and put a clip in the back of his head.... 0%.  Just dust coming off of them... no blood.... no hits.... no kills.

What shit is this?

I scrap and reload RS from fresh... and it works fine again.  I played in a pistols only game yesterday and held my own against Nighthawk and Myst...  so the game is working again.

So, you tell me... did something just go wrong in my game... or was one of the games I last played in fixed and screwed with my settings??  

For now I'll just say that my files may have gotten f'd up.  But if it happens to others.... I could change my mind.

It's those damned Illuminati again. Looks like they finally got around to the "Corrupt RS" part of their plan for world domination. Well, gentlemen, we're all fucked.

Grifter i really have no idea. This is coming from one of the most feared people of having a hack on gr, me. Every noob, amatuer, pro thinks everyone in KoS uses these hacks. I will speak on the behave of KoS and tell you we do not use any cheats of any kind and there isnt a cheat out there on the internet for Mac rs that i think anyone uses. To answer ur question grif i just think it was some corrupted RS files or maybe lag. Until i see this first hand, thats my thought. THanks for the warning though grif.

I think its the low detail setting, at least for hosts, i notice that on ibeer's host it doesn't display percentages, but on others it does. i think that explains it. But you could also have a fucked up copy of RS.

One thing... I've been playing long enough to know the difference between a host that just isn't showing stats... and me getting zero hits...

Like I said, I tried it out on single player too... had the same problem there.

And Reb.  I completely agree that KoS doesn't cheat and that all the newbies in the world always accuse you of it (because SWAT heard enough of that to last a lifetime as well).  But I've played with you guys (and beaten enough of you) to know that you don't cheat.  You guys are just all good.

But look at it this way... if Ultimo went 20 some games without getting a hit, let alone a kill... you'd think there was somelthing wrong.  The question is... was it my computers fault... or someone elses?  (I still lean towards my computer too... but better to post it now and find out if anyone else has the issue).

Grif, I had the exact same problem, I would emptya pdw into someone only to get killed. It even happened on ppl who were afk, I would walk right up to them and shoot them in the face and nothing would happen.

I finally dumped my RS and reinstalled and it works for now. Get of an odd coincidence???? With all the hackers out there, somebody is bound to eventually hack with a mac into RS and create cheats.

Keep in touch with this matter and mb we can narrow it down...

I had a similar problem once. I joined a game of RS, and even though my hit percentage was above 0, my enjoyment stayed directly at 0. I tried reinstalling RS, but the damn game still wasn't any fun. I wiped it from my HD and haven't had any bugs like that since.

Just tell me when you are getting MOH:AA so I can start kicking you around in that Ass ;)

As soon as A) I find out if I will be able to get livable FPS on it and B) I get my next paycheck (this friday w00t). Although I did just get WC3, but I don't think I'll keep my streak of a year and a half between game purchases going. (My last game before WC3 was RS).

How is WC3?  CD keeps telling me to get it, but I want to try it first.  

WC3 rocks! I would definitely recommend it. I like the new gameplay (even though I've only tried single player so far), the graphics are a huge improvement, and there are now 4 races which gives it more variety.

Grifter is right, there's definately some wierd bull shit going on.

I was in a small RS game of six. Everything was fun and I decided to grab something to eat. I return to my computer to see I'm still alive. So I pull out my hbs and scan the area for any tangos and sure enough there was one inside blue team's base. I quickly pulled out my pdw to neutralize the whore when he wouldn't die. Damn, the server must have died. I do a quick 'ping check' with a blank chat message; the game is still going!! So wtf is going on? It turns out the bullets from everyone's gun were "blanks." Lag? I thought the same but as you can see I was checking in multiple times. Didn't seem laggy to me. Also... Someone eating 67 bullets? No one had a shotty with rubber, that's for sure...

67 hits and didn't die.... that's gotta be a new record.  Even shooting someone in the legs with rubber battons they usually die after like 40.  (I got to 45 once).

Something strange is going on in RS...  This stinks of the exact same problem I had jo...

most interesting, there are plenty of pc cheats out there and anyone that knows how to port pc files can port a cheat if they wanted to. :o
