http://www.xrup.com/cgi-bin/beeboard.cgi?a=messages&cid=5&fid=46&tid=3&sort=1 i know that macclans was something the grifter was working hard to bring to you guys, but it doesn't seem that it was something that was really needed. i'm not sure why. maybe with the .mac going pay, more of you would have like it. either way, i have to make a decision on it soon, because i don't want danielle paying the bill for it. so please voice your opinions there on the future of macclans.com. Title: Re: future of macclans Post by: Deadeye on July 20, 2002, 06:03:08 pm my first concern is the use of macclans. as clans come and go, only a few are being hosted right now. also, the forums are not very used, and it hasn't spread much to other games except aliens v preditor. i don't think he'd want us to keep it alive if it weren't being used.
also, he paid for the domain for something like 10 years. he owns a few, including macclans.com and mac-clans.com. so the worry isn't there. if people want to use it, to help contribute and grow that idea, then we will find a way to work it out. i'll have all his hardware. the only thing i'll need to figure out is paying for the bandwidth. business class lines like his aren't cheap. he has a fractional T1 going into his house. but if there is want, then i'm sure we will work it out. if you guys want it, it can be all that he was looking at. including the e-mail server he had set up. it could be a great replacement for itools going away.
