Title: mauti and locking threads Post by: Brain on July 19, 2002, 09:53:35 am well, this is the second time in as many days that mauti has locked a thread for being off topic
it's kind of annyoing really cuz i would like to see one of these threads go over 200 posts. i have a question for you mauti, is a thread truly off topic if we all start to go off on the same tangent and nobody is complaining? an excelent example of this is in a thread called scott and gameranger we were talking about monty python, logical falicies, and how much of a dumbass bondo was by the 3rd page. that thread was certinally more off topic that the kos thread. and yet if i wanted to i could go modify that thread right now i guess alli'm asking is that you either be consistant or give us a warning when we get close to the edge Title: Re: mauti and locking threads Post by: Bondo on July 19, 2002, 10:37:39 am Brain, just be quiet and start new threads to talk about new things.
Title: Re: mauti and locking threads Post by: *DAMN Mauti on July 19, 2002, 10:57:56 am Well only to see a thread getting 200+ posts isn't an excuse to spam or a reson to let a thread alive although he is offtopic.
I don't read all threads here and at all I don't care about if a thread gets offtopic or not. However I think some threads are just finished - ?everyone has posted his opinion about it and so I lock them. Generally this forum is very tolerate and allows much more small talk than other Mac gaming forums do. Title: Re: mauti and locking threads Post by: Typhy on July 19, 2002, 02:12:14 pm Exactly, there isn't anything against an off topic thread, as long as it's still alive, when a thread is down to like a post every 2 days, and most of them are just short spamming posts, the thread is head, if you liked the subject that it had come to, then start a new one about that subject.
