Title: Finals Bracket Question
Post by: c| Splinter on November 08, 2003, 11:59:29 pm
There are 6 teams, and 3 battles in the first round.  Meaning there will be 3 winners and 3 losers.  How is the 4th spot for round 2 decided?

Have you tryed reading the rules???

The first round cbs are: 1st vs 6th, 2nd vs 5th, 3rd vs 4th. The best 4 clans by wins proceed to the second round. 2nd round games are 1st(by ranking) vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. The first 2 clans by wins proceed to the final round. Winner of the season is the clan with the most wins.

yes marcy, i read the rules.

my question is how do you decide out of the 3 teams that lost, who is the best.  they all lost, right?  Does best by wins mean most CB wins or most individual match games.  Most CB wins most likely would have some sort of tie situation (i.e. 2 clans both lose their round 1-2).

I thought it was always done based on points.

I am editing this post because Im an idiot and did think.  We are not forefiting the first round aganst the Core.  I repeat, WE ARE NOT FOREFITING the first round of the playoffs.

For the record flies, Just because you gave us your times when ONLY YOU can cb dosent mean you will have to accomadate us with OUR times as well.  You guys better plan on staying up a bit late to cb us.

Noto out.

(I just l wanted to let you all know that DIESEL is the one who edited my post as I was eating lunch at Denny's.  You all probably could tell it wasn't me by simply looking at sentence structure and spelling.  I agree with DIESEL and did give him permission to edit my post.  The real Noto out.)

well I can speak for c| that we are fine with allowing a week for this match to be played, we don't want anyone dropping out.  It's hard to coordinate these things, so we're all fine with giving extra time.

Well if N wants to drop out what about bringing energy up into the finals.

Anyway I guess the admins will sort this out.

Edited: Sorry for not reading Noto's Edited Post. How stupid was I ..... well not stupid enough to say my clan was forfeiting the finals.

I fully agree with Flies on this decsion for the finals to be played out.  The timezone is almost impossible to play to schedule with the HUGE time constraint.  I can only have the admins take a step back and put themselves in the same situation.

This is a game right.. not a Job.

Thanks in advance.

I dont understand the big confusion in the rules, by wins they means games(plz correct me if im wrong, because this is just how i see it), but i dont know what's gonna happen if theres a tie in how many games they've won(the clans that lost the first round but). But yes the rules are not wrote so its clear to understand, they should try to do so.

My english is not perfect yet so plz, forgive me if i spell something wrong ;)

This has gotten a bit (http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~damnr6/yabbse/YaBBImages/offtopic.gif) and Splinter's question hasn't really been answered, has it?  How exactly is the wildcard spot determined?  Is it most cb wins or most matches or what?  I've spent a while thinking and asking but I haven't really gotten a clear answer. If network beats core 2-0 or vice versa, then the wild card spot will go to Bts.

If network beats core 2-1 or vice versa, then the wild card spot will go to the loser who only won one game.

If the points are set up properly, c| will end up playing the wild card holder.
