Title: AA ladder coming back - old rules still ok!? Post by: *DAMN Mauti on November 14, 2005, 01:48:18 pm As you have already probably noticed the AA ladder is back for season XII. The old rules from season IX were:
Quote The most recent version of America's Army is required for clan battles. The default clan battle is 3 vs. 3 up to 13 vs. 13 with the agreement of both teams. Warning: Games become latent, or laggier, with more players. In the main season each clan can play each clan as often as they want. The winner is the team with the most games won after the agreed upon number of games. In case of a tie, another game on the current host/side will be played until one clan leads by one win. America’s Army Setup: Number of Maps: 2 Number of Squads: 2 Members per squad: 3+ Rounds per Map: 7 (1 setup, 6 live rounds) The challenging team will always provide a server unless they cannot. The clan that challenges is referred to as the "attacking" clan The clan that is challenged is referred to as the "defending" clan A match will be played using this set up. A clan challenges another clan The defending team will choose a map The attacking team will pick the side they want on that map The teams will go into the server and play 1 setup round then 6 live rounds. After the 7 rounds, the attacking team will choose a map The defending team then chooses a side The teams go into the server again and play that map on their respected sides The team that wins the most of the 12 live rounds win In the event of a tie (6-6) the map will be changed to Mout McKenna. The attacking team will be Honor, the defending team will be Loyalty Teams will play 1 setup round then 3 live rounds, best of the 3 rounds wins. The following are permitted maps for matches. If your clan wants to play on another map that is not on this list, the other clan’s leader must agree to the use of it. 7-minute maps: Bridge HQ Raid (shooting the prisoner causes you to lose the round) Insurgent Camp Pipeline Swamp Raid Tunnel Weapons Cache Pipeline SF Sandstorm Csar 10-minute maps: Bridge SE Weapons Cache SE Mountain Pass Mountain Pass SE River Basin Radio Tower (shooting the aid worker causes you to lose the round) Some maps have been removed due to slow frame rates on lower end machines. Although, you may use a map that has been removed only if both clans have agreed to do so. The spectate options must be set before matches in the server.ini file. If the spectate settings are not followed the match will be scrapped. All idle settings will be set to off Match will work in this fashion 1 setup 6 live MAP CHANGE 1 setup 6 live If a player becomes disconnected from the server, they will be considered a casualty and play will resume. Disputes will be taken up on the *DAMN forums. Please keep the posts strict and straight to the point to allow Admins to solve the problem as quick as possible. Thanks, Mauti Title: Re: AA ladder coming back - old rules still ok!? Post by: [a] ferret on November 14, 2005, 03:39:26 pm There is a way to set up your server as a tournament server. Applying team names and team captains. Also password protection for joining either team. This also enables practice time and other features. You may want to look into these settings as well, for it may make it easier to plan and play a cb in AA.
for example. a regular server set up in the terminal after applying all armyops.ini settings ./server-bin global mapname.aao Tournament Global ./server-bin tournament mapname.aao Here is the Armyops.ini section for Tourny [AGP_Gameplay.AGP_GameTournament] asTournamentTeamName[0]=Animals asTournamentTeamName[1]=Challengers sMatchName=Season XII AA CB Ladder sTournamentName=My Tournament sLeagueName=My League's Name iTournamentRequestDelayTime=30 iTournamentRoundDelayTime=5 iTournamentWarmupDuration=4 iTournamentSwapTime=60 iTournamentSwapLimit=3 iTournamentPauseLimit=90 bTournamentMercyRule=True bTournamentOpenAllWeaponClassSlots=True bTournamentTeamCaptainsAllowed=True bTournamentTeamPasswordsRequired=False bTournamentTieSuddenDeath=False bTournamentTieScore=False bTournamentEnableRandomTeamAssignments=True And opening all weapon class slots will give your team more options on what gun type they would like to take. |
