Title: Problems With *DBL Seige?
Post by: :MoD:Shade on August 26, 2004, 01:57:26 am
I just tried downloading it, and in the folder it says *DBL Seige Installer but there's no app to open it with.  There's also a folder called __MACOSX but has nothing in it.

Was it not packaged correctly?

it worked without any problems here... i unstuffed the .sit file and then the dbl siege installer showed up. i double-clicked it and it got installed by itself.

try redownloading it... maybe it didnt download completely.

I just tried it again and it still doesn't work, it's also not in .sit format for me, it's a .zip.

yeah, sry... it was .zip here, too.

could it be that u're in OS9? and anyways... the *DBL Siege Installer should be an app itself... no need for an app to open it. with what app are you unzipping the .zip file? maybe the fault is there...

Hm, it's definitly me because i just tried to DL the *DMP 2.55 Complete(because that has the *DMP Seige in it) and that ended up the same way. I'm using stuffit expander i believe and i'm not in os9.

check your emails... i just sent you my installer. should definitely work... otherwise it's probably a system problem.

Ok, it was Firefox, it's molesting my downloads, screwing them up somehow because it works just fine with Safari.
