Wow...what a question. Where to begin? I think Mauti has a mod-making tutorial on the website. I suggest you look for it...I would post the link but I don't remember it, and you can look for it just as easily as I. Have fun and good luck! You can mod files easily by editing the text code in BBEdit or SimpleText...which takes common sense more than anything. If you're trying to build a new map or skin, that typically requires a PC and/or a really nice 3D modeling program.
