Title: The Economic Summit.
Post by: ?(uNt?YodaTi.Hfa on August 13, 2002, 06:18:07 pm
I was watching the news and all i hear is about this economic summit that the president is having in Waco, Texas. In my opinion the summit is just a publicity stunt. I doubt if anything is going to come of it. All the people there look like they also think the same thing. I would like to know your opinions on it.

It is just a hoax to make people think the President is actually working rather than vacationing at home.  The fucker has been on vacation for like 4 months this year.

Semi-Pessimist, Semi, because we (well atleast I) don't expect bad to come out of everything, just most of the things my lazy president does.  There is alot of stuff to be done yet he constantly tries to avoid it.

Well, US policy and the way things are just plain suck because alot of crappy legislation and the ideals they reinforce... I don't blame things on Bush like everyone likes to do.

The sad part is, we have tards who are ripping on this economic summit, and dont have the slightest clue of what is going on. If Gore, Nader, or whoever you voted for was President and doing this, you would be hailing him as trying to save the economy. Just because you hate Bush doesn't mean you have to blindly rip on everything he does.

It is one thing ripping on the summit if you know what you are talking about, and it is another thing if you dont know what you are talking about.

I was just commenting on his proclivity to remain in Texas rather than Washington...The Daily Show did the same thing...so are they Bush-haters (well, the entertainment industry does tend to be liberal but they rip on all presidents).

I'd be ripping on Gore as well because I don't like the Democrats either...if Nader was president...well, he can do no wrong ;).

I actually voted for Bush, he is the lesser of 3 evils (not really EVIL in the true meaning of the owrd). I don't think gore or nader would have done any better with our current economic status but i think he (bush) could do much more than this. He can't seem to get away from texas. He's much to lazy.

blah blah blah....the nation divided....Texas and Southeastern US love bush...Northern US loves Gore....A small pocket of insignificant terd burglars loves Nader...(i expect rapeage from that one)

Give Bush a chance....He's only been president for a year or so and will handle situations accordingly. The president really has no control over the economy. It depends on Greenspan and investors. As for his vacations..how can you not love Texas  ;D

Think about this...Bush is somewhat an honest person and loves his wife dearly...I don't  think he'd be fucking his cabinet or raping the white house service do you? We can thank Clinton for that one.

Oh and about Hillary as senator of New York....Complete and total BS. I hope new yorkers wake up and realize she's a major bitch queen and will do anything to become the first woman president. I personally think she's a lesbian and thats what forced Billary to go fuck so many women.

oh and bondo...happy small titty sex  :o

LOL i love this shit that hillary tried to pull on Bush about accepting money from Enron and such... the irony  is the she herself got money from the same people and when asked if she would give it back she would not, the poor employees   >:( It's just funny what huge fucking hypocrites politicians in general are (however some have not earned this title, kudos to them ;D )

Please don't judge the Green Party on SK, most Green Party members are intelligent which is why they vote for the best political party.

Also, Sin...both you and Ace go to colleges inferior to mine...in football at least so bah.

University of Colorado...

The fact that I go to the Colorado Springs campus doesn't change that the Boulder team is the one of my college...as it is only in the system with a team and stuff.

Everyone blames the president for all the nations problems as if he's the one that controls it. If you ever remember from history in jr. high and high school the constitution called for small government.

George Washington (one of the founding fathers...for tards who don't know) helped build the government so it wouldn't be big. I mean we were trying to get away from big government ie. The English Kingdom...why the fuck be hypocrits?? Since the constitution isn't worth much today our government has grown huge and every section controls something or other...the president sees over those sections.

Usually its committee and legislations groups that end up forming the regulations on businesses etc. etc.  Everyone blames Bush for corporate scandal when in fact Clinton and Gore accepted "funding" from CEO's also. So stfu about Bush and his fraudulent corporate scandals..be glad Bush is taking action and not screwing his interns or sitting in his desk chair like a hardwood post.

Its sad though that our government is in our lives now...The constitution stated the people (that would be us) could vote out the government if it ever got powerful and corrupt...but since lazy bleeding heart liberals took over...everyone wanted something for nothing. So the government came along and gave out freebies and incentives. Thanks to the donkey ass democrats half of our population wants the government to hand feed them and change thier diapers. As for the Green Party....I agree with some ideals but I'm so fucking glad Nader didn't get elected....He's a hardwood post himself.

Please I beg you....be American.

all major political canidates are sell outs to corperations. it's the only way that they could fund the massive mudslinging campaigns that define our current polital climate.  nader was the first polital canidate that i feel would have actually attempred to fix some of our(the us citezen's) complaints about government

thomas jefferson(i think it was jefferson anyway)said that there should be a revoultion every 20 years to keep government in touch with the people. we're about 210 years over due. Since armed rebellion would be frutless due to the armed forces of this nation as well as the fact that the media would paint us as trators, we need to fight a rebellion with ideas. i hear many people(not just you) complain about the corruption of government today, and then, come election time they vote for a big party canidate.

am i the only one who sees the irony in that?

so, i say to everyone of you who complains about the system, vote for the third party!
i can hear the response now "but i dont want to throw my vote away..."

didnt the last election show us that every vote mattered.  hell in milwaukee this summer 6 county board members were RECALLED because of a pention plann that would have given the members million dollar pensions.(those board members who did vote for the plan that didnt ret enough recall signatures will probably loose their jobs in the next election)  one of those elections was was won by 3 votes, and over 15,000 voted in that election(they recounted as well, and the vote total didn't change)

the political climate in our country is changing. people are starting to get fed up with political corruption. i dont care who you vote for or voted for. all that i'm saying that you should do is if you decide topiss and moan about the government, that you use your vote to change it. one person may not be able to a huge difference, but if enough people contribute, their combined will is unstoppable.
