I see you've added an icon thingy on the top bar for safari? Very nice.

I love those!  favicon.ico. . .nice nice.

In IE, if you make the page a favorite, you will also see the icon.

Mauti just out of interest, or others if known, what's the code to put those funky little icons in the bar like that? More and more sites seem to be doing it and its rather cool!

here's the code:

<LINK rel="SHORTCUT ICON" href="<url to the pic>">

the pic can be in gif or png format, maybe even in jpg.

i just noticed that the favicon is missing again. i guess it's because of the update from SMF 1.0 to 1.0.1... so, you should re-add it. :)

:::-/:: it also seems to be missing on the main- and BL site now.

Hi Civic,

must be a problem on your end, because the code is still there if you look at the source code.

Bye,

Mauti

must be Camino that i'm using since a few days, instead of Safari before... :::-/:: just odd that it shows favicons of all my other sites just fine, only the *DAMN ones are missing. clearing the favicon cache didn't help either.

Maybe the *DAMN Site prefers you use a browser made by Apple.  ;)

i've been using Safari for very long and always noticed that it loads pages pretty damn slow. then i started trying some other browsers, as much as i love Apple, and they were almost all much faster than Safari, for whatever reason(s). Camino had the best result for my taste, so i decided to switch until the Tiger version of Safari is released. can't await the RSS support in it.

Maybe the Camino doesn't like .png Favicons or can you see the favicon on the *DAMN mainpage!?

Bye,

Mauti

must be the .png formate. :::-/:: i can't see it on the mainpage either. i can see transparent favicons from other sites... but they must be using .gif then.

Go to ~/Library/Safari, delete the folder "Icons" and restart Safari. If it still doesn't appear then something is wrong.
