Help me with my firewall

I have the firewall that came with my windows xp. I want a better one. What is a VERY good firewall i can download and use for free that dosen't slow down my computer?

Considering your using Windows XP your probably asking the wrong people. Assuming you connect through a router try using the firewall it most likely has... why do you need a VERY good firewall?
