SBD on Teamwork
(Minus the Team)
When playing rs or r6, teamwork is usually the key to winning the game. So what do you do if your playing in a pick-up game of rs and none of your fellow clan members or friends happen to be in that game?
Well obviously you either become friends with someone on your team, or you find someone to use as a teammate. I'll explain....
One of the most effective tactics in rs and real life is the "point-man". The point-man is the one guy that goes in front of the squad and checks for tangos, clears rooms, and so on. What I do when I don't know the other guys on my team is use one of them as a point man. You follow one guy around the
place about 20 meters behind him or so , and let him check things out for you. Usually, if you pick an newbie (or an all around idiot) , the guy will fall into an ambush or find a guy in a room and die, or become tied up in battle. Since you've seen this guy trying to survive against other badguys in the room in front of you, you:
* peak in and mow down the bad guys
* chuck a 'nade in the room and let both the bad guys and your team mate
have it
* rush in after your teammate and surprise the badguys
I don't condone or recomend team killing, but sometimes that's the collateral damage of your grenade/barrage of bullets and if you get a good number of bad guys with it, I'm sure you'll be forgiven by your teammate/involuntary-pointman. Besides, if it's a casual game of rs, people shouldn't get all that upset about a little tk on accident, but that's a whole other topic....
